This examination aims to promote the use of the Korean language and set a proper path in Korean language learning for

overseas Koreans and foreigners who do not speak Korean as a mother-tongue language.

Able to carry out basic conversations related to daily survival skills.

Able to understand and compose simple and useful sentences based on about 800 examples of basic vocabulary and grammar.

2nd Able to carry out simple conversations related to daily routines and understand personal and familiar subjects.

3rd Able to perform basic linguistic functions necessary to use various public facilities and maintain social relationship.

For Levels 4 to 6, it is dificult to compare TOPIK with the Sogang KLEC courses.While Sogang KLEC courses focus mainly on speaking practice through speaking-oriented teaching methods, enabling students to effectively improve their communicative skills, TOPIK consists of writing, reading, and listening tests.

Features

This course is student-centered and with a focus on speaking, featuring a variety of communicative activities geared towards improving speaking abilities.

In addition to the grammar and vocabulary required for success in the pursuit of academic studies, students practice the essential academic language skills of writing reports and listening to lectures, as well as other skills.

This course focuses on improving communicative abilities, and students can further develop their writing abilities through assigned homework tasks.

This intensive summer program is designed for students who wish to improve their knowledge and understanding of Korean culture and communicative abilities in Korean.

Students can apply for all courses through the KLEC homepage(klec.sogang.ac.kr) 1. Applicants fill out the application form on the KLEC homepage. 2. Applicants upload a copy of the required documents. 3. Qualified applicants will be accepted into the program. 4. Applicants pay the applicable fees by wire transfer. 5. Applicants make a reservation for their placement test through the KLEC homepage.
