ethosAs water impinges on the spiral wound brushes a low pressure area is created behind each filament of the brush, this forces any dissolved gases to be released.
The use of two removable stainless steel brushes ensures that any dissolved gases within the system are removed by the lower brush, whilst gases entrained in the boiler header system are released by the upper brush. These gases then rise to the top of the unit and are expelled by the automatic air vent.
The Mikrovent headers are available to suit connected loads of 150, 250, 400, 750 and 1000kW.
All in all the Mikrovent is a worthwhile addition to any new or refurbished commercial heating or chilled water system.

The Ethos wall mounted boiler range is approved for use with both “open flued” and “room sealed” type flue systems and as such are suitable for most applications. Flue components are readily available, including standard horizontal and vertical kits.
By using either concentric or the 2 pipe system different flue lengths can be achieved. Care should be taken when siting the flue outlet as all condensing boilers produce water vapour in the form of “pluming” which can be a nuisance.
There is a maximum over pressure of around 1.4 mbar (140 Pa) for the Ethos 70, 90 and 2.0 mbar (200 Pa) for the Ethos 110, 130 in the boiler for the flue gas discharge system.
