Powering On the Projector

1. Removethelenscap.2. Ensurethatthepowercordandsignalcablearesecurely

connected.ThePowerLEDwillturnflashblue.3. Turnonthelampbypressing“Power/Standby”onthe

controlpanel.Thestartupscreenwilldisplayforabout25secondsandthePowerLEDwillturnblue.

4. Turnonyoursource(computer,notebook,videoplayer,etc.)Theprojectorwilldetectyoursourceautomatically.

Ifyouconnectmultiplesourcesatthesametime,usethe“source”ontheremotecontrolorusethe“computer“,”video1”,“video2“ontheremotecontroltoswitch.

OperationPowering Off the Projector

1. Pressthe“Power/Standby”toturnofftheprojectorlamp,youwillseeamessageasbelowontheon-screendisplay.

2. Pressthe“Power/Standby”againtoconfirm.3. Thecoolingfancontinuestooperateforabout120seconds

forcoolingcycleandthePowerLEDwillflashblue.Whenthelightstartsflashing,theprojectorhasenteredstandbymode.

Ifyouwishtoturntheprojectorbackon,youmustwaituntiltheprojectorhascompletedthecoolingcycleandhasenteredstandbymode.Onceinstandbymode,simplypress“Power/Standby”torestarttheprojector.

4. Disconnectthepowercordfromtheelectricaloutletandtheprojector.

5. Donotturnontheprojectorimmediatelyfollowingapoweroffprocedure.

Whenthe“Power”LEDindicatorturnsred,itindicatestheprojectorhasoverheated.Theprojectorwillautomaticallyshutitselfdown.

Whenthe“Power”LEDindicatorflashesredandthemes-sagebelowdisplaysonscreen,itindicatestheprojectorwilldetectthelamplifeitself.Whenyouseethismessage,changethelampassoonaspossibleorcontactyourlocaldealerorourservicecenter.

Whenthe“Power”LEDindicatorflashesredandthemes-sagebelowdisplaysonscreen,itindicatesthefanfailed.Stopusingtheprojectoranddisconnectthepowercordfromtheelectricaloutlet,thencontactyourlocaldealerorourservicecenter.

The Projector has multilingual On Screen Display menus that allow you to make image adjustments and change a variety of settings. The projector will automatically detect the source.

How to operate 1. ToopentheOSDmenu,press“Menu”ontheRemoteControl.

2. WhenOSDisdisplayed,use keystoselectanyiteminthemainmenu.Whilemakingaselectiononaparticularpage,press

keytoentersubmenu.

3. Use keystoselectthedesirediteminthesubmenuandadjustthesettingsby key.

4. Ifthesettinghas icon,youcouldpress“Enter”toenteranothersubmenu.Press“Menu”toclosethesubmenuafteradjustment.

5. Afteradjustingthesettings,press“Menu”backtothemainmenu.

6. Toexit,press“Menu”again.TheOSDmenuwillbeclosedandtheprojectorwillautomaticallysavethenewsettings.

Problem: No image appears on screen Ensureallthecablesandpowerconnectionsarecorrectlyand

securelyconnectedasdescribedinthe“Operation”section.

Ensurethepinsofconnectorsarenotcrookedorbroken.

Checkiftheprojectionlamphasbeensecurelyinstalled.Pleaserefertothe“Replacingthelamp”section.

Makesureyouhaveremovedthelenscapandtheprojectorisswitchedon.

Problem: Partial, scrolling or incorrectly displayed image

Press“Re-Sync”ontheremotecontrol.

IfyouareusingaPC:

ForWindows3.x:

1. IntheWindowsProgramManager,doubleclickthe“WindowsSetup”iconintheMaingroup.

2. Verifythatyourdisplayresolutionsettingislessthanorequalto1280x1024.

If the projector is still not projecting the whole image, you will also need to change the monitor display you are using. Refer to the following steps.

Replacing the lampTheprojectorwilldetectthelamplifeitself.Itwillshow

youawarningmessage

OnlyInFocuslampsaretestedwiththisprojector.Useofotherlampsmaycauseelectricalshockandfire.

Beextremelycarefulwhenremovingthelamphousing.Intheunlikelyeventthatthebulbruptures,smallglassfrag-mentsmaybegenerated.Thelamphousingisdesignedtocontainthesefragments,butusecautionwhenremov-ingthelamphousing.Beforereplacingthelamp,cleanthelampcompartmentanddisposeofcleaningmaterials.Washhandsafterlampreplacement.

Hg-Lampcontainsmercury.Manageinaccordancewithlocaldisposallaws.Seewww.lamprecycle.org.

thelampbar. 7. Pulloutthelampmodulebyforce. To replace the lamp module, reverse the previous steps.
