TUSHAR POTDAR

Seeing is a common and unique activity but at the same time universal also. An artist is a person who elevates this common activity and makes it, a sacred ritual. When this ritual gets enrooted in life it becomes a religion. Religion for its prosperity depends on faith and faith is my inspiration.

My faith in seeing evokes me to work in visual filed. My works deals with visual aspect of life. My works try to accumulate the profundity of a gaze. Gaze which can not only register the physical

presence but, which can also perpetuate the mind to a metaphysical reality. Reality where presence is only an evidence of truth.

Therefore physical evidence becomes the integral part of my visuals. My images are slices of life.

Images have a relation with my memory, my instincts and my intellect. Protagonists of my paintings always have a strong relation with there architectural background. Sometimes

architectural background defines the protagonist. So they also become a protagonist for me. This interplay creates an interesting situation.

The objects are all an evidence for me. These are objects of rituals for sustaining my faith in

seeing.I am eager to pursue my faith in seeing. My visual quest to look into metaphysical reality will

improve my understanding of the supreme reality.
