We are repeat guests having visited many times

in the past, but this was our first holiday here

since the resort's re-opening following recent

major refurbishments.

From the outset, this is now a luxury 5* resort,

beautiful in its new design and absolutely

stunning in all areas, yet operates with an

informal approach and is, and has been, our

favourite beach-based resort of all time. It fully

justifies the top ratings it invariably receives from

other guests. At LUX* Grand Gaube is second to

none, offering quite a unique dining experience

of such quality.

Myself and my husband stayed here in 2015 for a

family wedding and throughly enjoyed our stay - this

time around we were looking for a holiday where we

could guarantee that we would be spoilt, well looked

after and want for nothing in paradise. For us, we

rarely if ever go back to the same place twice,

preferring to explore new countries and new

experiences but there was no where else we wanted to

go as we knew it would meet our expectations... it

didn't just meet them it exceeded them by more than

we could ever have imagined. Just outstanding all

round!!.

Goodness where do I start?

Firstly the staff are fantastic, all of them. We

loved the whole experience and the honeymoon

meal on the beach was stunning. We were also

given a complimentary spa treatment and

cooking class, the latter unfortunately couldn't

do.

We sampled all 5 restaurants, 6 if you count the

burger shack. The food and service was simply

outstanding.

The spa was excellent and so tranquil, we

booked a couple of treatments here, a must if

you visit. Thanks for all the pre wedding

treatments!

From the moment you arrive you are looked after like royalty. The

hotel itself is built around three "bays". The main bay/beach is the

family area, there is another beach which is adult only. All the

rooms and suites are built around these bays, all have a beach/sea

view. We stayed in Romantic Junior Suite which was situated on the

top floor. This suite was stunning especially after the recent

renovation, there was a bedroom / living area, a separate

wardrobe area and a huge bathroom with an outdoor shower and

bath. There is also a veranda with a sea view and this housed the

Bath and some sun loungers.

There is an amazing Gym, as well as tennis courts and a driving

range. The Spa is a lovely quiet spot. It has saunas and steam

rooms and three different pools. We had a massage there and it

was sensational. In Summary; Words cannot really describe how

amazing the hotel and Mauritius is. Do not hesitate to book! That’s

if there are any rooms left available ....
