Background
• e-LPPT (Yearly Performance Appraisal) introduced in 2009 replacing SKT (yearly work target).
• Previously eLPPT 2012 is based on MyRA1. Starting 2013, UTM need to be in compliance with MyRAII. eLPPT 2013 is based on MyRA II which is more research focus.
• Received many comments/feedbacks for improvement. • The taskforce engaged as many stakeholders through mails,
discussions, workshop etc. • The findings analysed, discussed and reviewed and
approved by University Management Committee (JPU) on the 23th September 2013.
Sections/Criteria and new marks allocation for MyRA II
Note : Research Input and Output RO contributes 50% marks
eLPPT based on MyRA2.. Why now?
• Workshops on preparations towards MyRA2 – all RA Deans with TNCPI on 8th Jan
• All RA Deans and Faculty – should inform staff in faculty meeting - January
• Presented to UMG 26Feb 2013 – meaning all top management is aware and should inform the staff
• Discuss in JKTS-PI on the 5th March before JPU
• Approved by Univ Management Comm.(JPU) 11 March
• Public awareness on - UTM as RU : Where are we and our preparation for MyRA 2? Prof. Ir. Dr. Mohd Azraai b. Kassim, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research & Innovation) on 27th March 2013, 2.15 pm

B) Income Generation
1. Consultancy • Gross income from consultancy projects received in 2013. (not the cumulative project income)
• Project Head is considered to claim the total amount while project member is assumed to claim half of what the project leader have claimed
2. Endowment • Total values for chaired fund given to the university or academic centers from external bodies to spearhead knowledge for the year 2013. (not the cumulative value)
• Evidence to show that the staff is involved in getting the endowment is required
3. Gift • Gift from external parties to university including monetary, apparatus, instruments, research materials with the value of RM5,000.00 and above for research purposes only.
• Evidence to show that the staff is involved in getting the gift is required

6. Training course (non-degree program)
• gross income from training/courses/workshop in the field of expertise in 2013
• Evidence to show that the staff is involved as organizer or speaker/facilitator is required. The chairman/head can claim full while the rest can claim half the amount claimed by the chairman/head
Sub Component 2 : RESEARCH INPUT – Income Generations
Scores for different Research Grant can overflow between the sub component in Research Grant.
Score for different Income Generation can overflow between the sub component in Income Generation.
Score from Research Grant can overflow into Income Generation .
Score from Income Generation cannot overflow into Research Grant .
Principle Investigator/Research Head will claim the full amount while the researcher will claim half the amount. However all researcher will key in the full amount and the system will cater the rest.
The minimum grant based on MyRAII is
• ST Univ Fund 30k, ST Ind 20k, ST Int 30k; non S&T UK 30k, Ind 16k dan Int 10k except DG 41/44.

Scoring Criteria For Research Output (RO)
To recognize the difficulties to secure the Impact Factor for certain categories, a coefficient of 0.1 for DG and 0.33 for Non Science & Technology is adopted. It means that for Non S&T, will score full if he/she obtain 0.33 of what the S&T staff is achieving
citation is limited to the scoring automatically achieved at the end of the year but will be keyed in by the staff
