Oscar Sheppard is a veteran, professional singer. Singing since early childhood, he was greatly influenced by such greats as Nat King Cole, Lou Rawls, Sam Cook, Johnny Hartman and Frank Sinatra. Oscar was bitten by the singing bug when he was only eight years old. Since then he has performed on shows with famous groups such as The Manhattans, Roy Ayers and Linda Hopkins and the incomparable Jimmy Smith to mention a few. His sound is described by many as smooth, soothing, mellow, relaxing, soulful and easy listening reminiscent of Johnny Hartman and Nat ‘King ‘ Cole. He especially loves to sing ballads. When he sings them, they tend to command attention from his audiences. It has been said that whenever couples hear him, they fall in love all over again.
