SUPPORT FOR 3D ANTENNA PATTERNS 2) Full 3D measurements Antenna patterns Import and display 3D antenna pattern data with accurate radiation patterns and improved prediction accuracy. Supported formats:

• Satimo Chamber; .txt, .xlsx

• Atoll; .txt

• Mentum+Suhner ACII format in .pat3D

• Galtronics; ogl

Antenna patterns are imported into the DB Editor.

SMART ANTENNA CONTOURS 3) Antenna Contours Consider Wall and Antenna Patterns Antenna contours are now adapted to wall losses and antenna patterns and are automatically reset when moving access points across the floor plan.

Flexible Mount Orientation

iBwave Design Release Notes / Version 9.0.3

4

FLEXIBLE MOUNT ORIENTATION 4) User-defined Mount orientation angle Users can now enter an angle that allows rotating the antenna on the x-axis by the entered value.

MULTIPLE RADIO ACCESS POINTS 5) Model Multiple Radios in the Database High density access points can be modeled in the database with multiple radios. In Design each radio is defined separately with its own output power and antenna patterns.

NOTE

Green color indicates 2.4 GHz and Blue color indicates 5 GHz.

CUT OUT EXCLUSION AREAS FROM PREDICTION AREAS 6) Define Exclusion Areas

Areas on a floor plan that are intended to be excluded from prediction calculations can be defined on the floor plans. For example, elevator shafts and warehouse packets, can be excluded from prediction calculations.

Page 10: iBwave Design Release Notes Design Release Notes 9.0.3.pdf · iBwave Design Release Notes / Version 9.0.3 2 . R EVAMPED U SER I NTERFACE AND I MPROVED U SER E XPERIENCE 1) Improved

Atrium Structure

iBwave Design Release Notes / Version 9.0.3

6

ATRIUM STRUCTURE 7) Consider Atriums in prediction calculations

Define an Atrium area in Area definition on the floor plan. VPLE prediction calculations take into account that signal passes through open space in the opening across floors.

RING CUT FIBER STRANDS 8) Span fiber strands across floors calculations

Split strands from a fiber cable by selecting the strands in a fiber spot and connect to network equipment across floors by using Vias.

Cable slack can be added at the Fiber spot.

DRAW CABLE ROUTE 9) Snap cables along cable routes to trays and conduits

Field technicians can draw the cable route using the Mobile application and import to Design where dropped cables can snap to the path of the cable routes.

The Magnet Cable Route attracts cables along its path.

COMPONENTS’ CUSTOM PROPERTIES 11) Custom categories and properties

Custom properties can now be user defined in the DB Editor and imported to Design, where designers can enter pertinent information about the component.

The imported custom field information is saved in the database of components.
