Step 1: VolunteerBeginning on October 22, volunteer for your favoritelocal nonprofit. Get creative with helping yourcommunity – clean up parks, plan a fundraisingevent or make bagged lunches for people who arehungry.

Step 2: Share an Action ShotTake a photo of yourself performing a good deed. (Ifyou are a nonprofit, you may submit photos of yourvolunteers in action. You also may encourage yourvolunteers, supporters and staff to perform a gooddeed and submit a photo on your behalf.) (Photos of buildings or logos will not count.)

Here are a few examples: • Participating in corporate volunteer days• Building houses• Hosting a bake sale• Painting a community mural

Step 3: VoteBeginning November 21, visit the #SpreadtheGood photo gallery on The Dayton Foundation’s website and vote for your favorite nonprofit’s photo. (You may vote up to ten times per day).

These are three easy steps that will….• Highlight the efforts and stories of nonprofit organizations and volunteers making a difference

in Greater Dayton

• Enter your favorite Dayton-area nonprofit into the second part of the campaign, the #SpreadtheGood Community Challenge that invites the community to help award one-time unrestricted #SpreadtheGood grants to the three organizations that receive the most votes on their photo by noon on #GivingTuesday.
