11th hour of ThursdayProphesy from Isaiah 52:13-53:12

A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth.

The Sixth Hour of Good Friday Prophesies

Numbers 21: The bronze serpent Isaiah 53: He was oppressed and He was afflicted,

Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth. 8 He was taken from prison and from judgment, And who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; For the transgressions of My people He was stricken. 9 And they made His grave with the wicked—But with the rich at His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was any deceit in His mouth. 10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.

What happened after the Crucifixion?

Page 19: Holy Pascha Week – Part II Servant’s Preparation Course 04.23.2013.

Read Acts 2:25-3125 For David says concerning Him:‘I foresaw the LORD always before my face,

For He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken.26 Therefore my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad; Moreover my flesh also will rest in hope.27 For You will not leave my soul in Hades,Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.28 You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence.’

What happened after the Crucifixion?

Page 20: Holy Pascha Week – Part II Servant’s Preparation Course 04.23.2013.

Read Acts 2:25-3129 “Men and brethren, let me speak freely to

you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. 30 Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne, 31 he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption.

Page 21: Holy Pascha Week – Part II Servant’s Preparation Course 04.23.2013.

Read Ephesians 4:7-97 But to each one of us grace was given

according to the measure of Christ’s gift. 8 Therefore He says:

“When He ascended on high,He led captivity captive,And gave gifts to men.”

9 Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth?

What happened after the Crucifixion?

Page 22: Holy Pascha Week – Part II Servant’s Preparation Course 04.23.2013.

Read 1 Peter 3:18-1918 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, 19 by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison,

Psalm 1511 I was small among my brothers, and the youngest in my father’s house;I tended my father’s sheep.2 My hands made a harp;my fingers fashioned a lyre.3 And who will tell my Lord? The Lord himself; it is he who hears.4 It was he who sent his messengerand took me from my father’s sheep, and anointed me with his anointing oil.5 My brothers were handsome and tall, but the Lord was not pleased with them.6 I went out to meet the Philistine, and he cursed me by his idols.7 But I drew his own sword;I beheaded him, and took away disgrace from the people of Israel.
