“Pastor’s Weekend Message” “I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things

from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the little ones” (Matthew 11:25).

This simple yet profound phrase reveals God’s constant love for us. It also affirms Jesus’ commitment and near-ness to us all. Let us think about it for a moment, at no time nor moment, God never abandons nor leaves his children from his loving sight. Never! Whether you have to deal with an aging parent, God is there; or whether you just found out that you have an incurable decease, God is there; or even when you have a young adult child in trou-ble, God is there; still even when you just have lost your job, God is there; further more, even when you have to deal with additions within the family, God is there. God reveals his love to all of his “little ones”, said this week’s Gospel. So, our response is and should be simple: praise God always and find comfort in his Presence for “God is there” in your life and in my life. Let us be grateful at all times. Have faith! Esta frase tan sencilla pero tan profunda nos revela el gran amor que Dios tiene por nosotros. Este amor es constante. También es afirmado en la entrega y cercanía que Dios tiene con nosotros. Pensémoslo por un momento: en nin-gún tiempo o momento de nuestra vida Dios nos abando-na. El nunca despega la vista de sus hijos. ¡Nunca! Aun cuando tengas que ayudar a un padre en la ansiedad, Dios esta allí; o aun cuando te acabas de dar cuenta que tienes una enfermedad incurable, Dios esta allí; aun mas cuando tienes un joven en problemas, Dios esta allí; también lo esta si acabas de perder tu trabajo, Dios esta allí; yendo mas allá también esta contigo cuando tengas que confron-tar problemas de adicciones en familia, Dios esta allí. Dios muestra su amor a todos. El se revela “a la gente sencilla” como tu y como yo, dice el evangelio de esta semana. En resumen, nuestra respuesta es y debe ser sen-cilla: alaba a Dios y encuentra la paz en su presencia por-que “Dios esta allí” en tu vida y la mía. Demos gracias a Dios en todo momento. ¡Ten fe! ¡Mantén la fe! ¡Confíate! Siempre oro para que encuentren la paz. Les deseo una feliz semana. FIESTA RAFLLE TICKETS Our Fiesta in Honor of Our Lady of San Juan de Los Lagos will be on August 13. We ask you to help us with the raffle tickets. The first raffle prize is $2,500 dollars; the second $1,000 and the 3rd is $500. We ask that each family take 10 tickets to sell. Know that for every 10 tick-ets that you sell, you will be given a ‘golden ticket’ which enters you into another raffle with a prize of $250 dollars.

BOLETOS DE LA RIFA

La fiesta en honor a la Virgen de San Juan de los Lagos será el 13 de agosto. Les pedimos que nos ayuden con los boletos de la rifa. El 1° premio es de $2,500, el 2° de $1,000 y el 3° de $500. Les rogamos que cada familia se lleve un sobre de 10 boletos para vender. Sepan que por cada 10 boletos que entregue se le dará un “boleto dorado” el cual le lleva a entrar a otra rifa de un premio de $250. Favor de ayudarnos a venderlos.

Cross Catholic Outreach Priest Rev. Tim O’Toole Father Tim O’Toole is a priest of the Diocese of Palm Beach. A native of New Jersey, Fr. Tim is a graduate of Seton Hall Prep and University. Prior to his ordination in 1989, Fr. Tim taught high school and was a realtor before entering the Seminary. Among his pastoral assign-ments, Fr. Tim was Pastor of St. Mark’s Parish and school in Cali, Colombia and South America. Fr. Tim says that his three year pastorate to the extremely poor in South America was the most joyful of this priesthood. He is grateful for this opportunity to preach on behalf of the poor through Cross Catholic Outreach. He will be at our Parish on July 22-23.

Mark your calendars for August 13th because that is the date of our Salida Fiesta in Honor of Our Lady of San Juan de Los Lagos. Everyone is invited so bring your friends and family. Come for delicious food, great entertainment and lots of fun activities for the kids! Be sure to buy your raffle tickets for only $5.00 each. 1st Prize is $2,500, 2nd Prize is $1,000 and 3rd Prize is $500 and that’s just to name a few. This year we have Golden Tickets again.
