Herman Bueno, Jr. was born on February 21, 1951 to Herman and Eva (Arsaga) Bueno, Sr. in Deadwood, SD. He lived in Deadwood from 1951-1956, Terraville from 1956-1966, Whitewood from 1967- 1985, and then spent the remainder of his life in Sturgis. Herman married Mary Ellen Eixenberger in 1973 and had his only child, Christian Paul Bueno. He worked as a heavy equipment operator at Dean Kurtz Construction for the majority of his life and had just retired in 2018. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and watching the Cubs, but enjoyed spending time with his grandkids most of all. Herman Bueno, Jr., 70, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021. He is survived by his mother, Eva Bueno; his lifelong partner, Mary Ellen Murray; his son, Chris; his granddaughter, Hailey; his great- granddaughter, Fallon; his stepdaughters, Angie (Will) and Holli; step grandchildren, Neveah, Alora (Nate), Christopher, Natalie, Lillian, and Harper; and his siblings, Donna (Dale) Long, Ed (Fay) Bueno, and Mike Bueno. Herman was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Josie Arsaga and Joe and Serera Cervantes; his father, Herman Bueno, Sr.; and his nephews, Jerry Bertalot, Jr. and Nick Bueno.
