    Grant Making Process:

Letters of Intent (LOI) may be submitted by anyone.

Proposals are by invitation only based on the LOIs.

Every Branch/Affiliate has an Academic Consultant, a

specialist in child welfare on the faculty of a local graduateschool of social work or its equivalent.

This consultant works with the Grants Committee, first

training them in issues of child abuse/neglect and then

advising them on best practices for intervention for possible

funding. The entire grants process is overseen by the Common Office.

Grants are made locally. Money raised in one area stays in

    grants in that area.
