Context and Opportunity
Erasmus+ is now opening up the same mobility opportunities that are between Programme Countries, to Partner Countries allowing for mobility from and to other parts of the world.
• The aim is to ensure high quality mobility activities with maximum impact.
• Emphasis on inbound mobility.
• Decentralised action managed by National Agencies located in Europe.
• Follows the same principles as KA103.
What is International Credit Mobility?
• Bring the outside world into your institution from incoming students and staff.
• Provide an expanded international offering.• Raise awareness of your institution with
international students.• Offer funding to support staff
mobility/professional development to establish strong connections with new institutions for future courses and partnerships.
• Act as a ‘soft trial’ for partners and international mobility beyond Erasmus+.
Why apply?
Who can apply?• At least two participating organisations from
different countries. Yours in Programme country and Partner in Partner country.
• A higher education institution from a Programme Country can only submit one application if they are applying as an individual institution. However, they can also apply for international credit mobility as part of a consortium, in which case it is your responsibility to prevent double funding of the same mobility should the two channels be used simultaneously.
• Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) – for Partner countries, the principles of the Charter are embedded in the Partner inter-institutional Agreements.
• Partner inter-institutional Agreements to set mobility flows and preconditions – to be signed before mobility begins.
• Learning Agreement for students and Mobility Agreements for staff.
Erasmus+ Quality Framework
