❑ I want a science curriculum of ses-sions that build on each other.

❑ I want science activities that I can do any time, in any order.

What grade levels are you working with?

❑ Grades 3–5 ❑ Grades K–6

How many kids are in each group?

❑ Up to 20 kids ❑ Up to 40 kids

How much time do you have for science?

❑ About 45 minutes ❑ Times vary

What type of science experience are you looking for?

❑ I want my kids to build an under-standing of important scientific concepts.

❑ I want my kids to be introduced to many different scientific concepts.

Do your leaders or teachers need support to help kids work together?

❑ Yes, our leaders need a program that offers support for the leader.

❑ No, this is not an issue at our site or school.

What program feature would help your leaders successfully run science activities?

If most of your answers are in the first column, AfterSchool KidzScience™ may be best for you. Here’s why:

AfterSchool KidzScience works best in sites and classrooms that want to give kids a deep under-standing of key scientific concepts and have a schedule that allows for regular sessions. Because the sessions build on each other, to get the most out of the program, it’s helpful if there’s a structure in place that allows kids to participate in all four ses-sions in each kit. The program uses four 45-minute sessions to build the knowledge needed to give children an understanding of important scientific concepts while having fun.

Learn more on pages 6–7.

If most of your answers are in the second column, Science Explorer may be best for you. Here’s why:

Science Explorer works best in sites and classrooms that want to introduce kids to many scientific concepts in a more informal way. By giving kids many different experiences using problem-solving strategies that scientists use every day, the program gets kids and leaders excited to learn more about science. Each activity alone. Activities take varied amounts of time.
