SLING CHAIN

F e a t u r e sHARRINGTON GRADE 100 HIGH QUALITY SLING CHAIN IS SAFE, DURABLE AND EASY TO USE

World’s Strongest Link Chain:• Harrington Sling Chain is super strong. This chain was developed through extensive research and

technology. With an ultimate strength of more than 1000MPa, our chains are known as some of the world’s strongest chains.

• Combined use of our super strong Grade 100 Sling Chain with Grade 100 sling attachments assures the highest degree of sling safety. The light weight assures exceptional ease of handling.

Grade 100 Sling Chain Features:• Grade 100 Sling Chains are available in three chain diameters of 7mm, 10mm and 13mm enabling

the lifting of heavy and large sized objects.• Safe, reliablehighlyefficient• Every Grade 100 Sling Chain has a safety factor of more than 4:1• Thechain,theprincipalelementofaGrade100Sling,isflexibleandensuresthereliableholding

Super Strong Link Chain:Our chain is made from selected special alloy steel. It is formed to a link and welded by fully automatedmachinery, then quenched and tempered by special automatic-controlled heat treatment equipment. Every chain link manufactured goes through a tensile strength test that assures an ultimate strength of more than 1000MPa. Our extensive chain manufacturingknow-how and techniques have produced some of the worlds strongest chains.

Elongation and Bending:Our sling chain combines both strength and ductility. To maintain toughness in each link, we use the best chain making techniques from material selection to heat treat-ment. In fact, our sling chain’s total elongation at rupture is more than 20% higher than most competitors. In bend-ing test, the sling chain has extensive ductility to prevent cracking and bending as shown by the photo to the right.

Wear Resistance:We pay special attention to the manufacturing process to assure better wear resistance. The wear between two adjoining links is extremely low because of our exclusive heat treatment technology, therefore our sling chain lasts longer and is more economical.

Tensile Strength Test:All of our sling chains are vigorously tested for higher breaking strength and greater elongation; ensuringlong service.

Guide for safer and longer use of Grade 100 Chain Slings

DO DO NOT1. Do not expose the sling chains to excessive heat, as the working load limit is affected by heat .2. Do not drag chain slings on the ground.3. Do not heat chain slings4. Do not use chain slings when damaged (i.e. worn, corroded, bent, stretched).

1. Do select correct capacity slings.2. Do insure that the sling chains are not kinked and twisted.3. Do minimize shock loads to sling chains, as shock loads maydevelopsignificantoverload. Also, doavoidimpact loading or landing.4. Do lift the load uniformly when using multi-leg slings.5. Do protect sling chains from sharp edges of an object by inserting protective pads between the chain and the object.6.Dohavechainslingsperiodicallyinspectedbyaqualified person.

Care and MaintenanceSafeandefficientworkbeginswithcorrectcareandmaintenance.Spendalittletimebeforeandaftereachuse to check the slings. Proper care and maintenance will assure your safety and long service life. 1. Initial and Frequent Inspections Prior to use, a visual inspection and physical checks for deformation, scratches, wear, elongation etc. will assure you continuous operation.

2. Only Use Grade 100 Rated Attachments Never use attachments taken from other slings or lower capacity slings even for temporary use.

3. Sling Chain Record Keeping A written record of the most recent periodic inspection shall be maintained and shall include the condition of the sling.
