Tour Details: DAY 1: Hope you’re ready for some Southern hospitality because we’re heading south this morning! We’ll spend some time gettin’ toknoweachotheraswemotorcoachtoourfirsthostcity,LittleRock. This evening we’ll experience genuine grand Southern living atitsbestatMarlsgatePlantationlocatedinScott,Arkansas.Itiscooled by the breezes off nearby Bearskin Lake, and shaded by huge pecan trees. It is home to David Paul Garner Jr. and family and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We won’t just visit Marlsgate, we’ll have a wonderful dinner and enjoy the storiesthatDavidlovestoshare!OVERNIGHT:LittleRock,AR(D)DAY 2: Rise & Shine y’all! This morning we’ll enjoy a visit to the Old Mill. The Old Mill appears in the opening scene of the classic 1939 film “Gone with theWind” and is believed to bethe only building remaining from the film! This afternoon we’llvisit the shotgun house in Tupelo where Elvis lived until he was thirteen years old. The Elvis Presley Birthplace Park consists of the Birthplace, Museum, Chapel, Gift Shop, “Elvis at 13” statue, Fountain of Life, Walk of Life, “Memphis Bound” car feature, and Story Wall. Following our visit we’ll drive right thru the middle of theHeartofDixie,Alabama.We’llovernightattheDrury Inn&Suites in Birmingham where we’ll enjoy their Kickback Supper & TastyBeverages.OVERNIGHT:Birmingham,AL(B,D)DAY 3: Ladies & Gentlemen, it’s time to start your engines – we’re headed to the International Motorsports Hall of Fame at Talladega Superspeedway! We’ll view the collection of racing vehicles and memorabilia which is valued at more than $15 million dollars. Next, we’ll enjoy a Track Tour of Talladega Superspeedway!!! We will experience what it is like to cross the Start/Finish line, cruise down pit road, and stop at Gatorade Victory Lane for a photo opportunity.ThetourwillalsotakeusthroughtheNASCARSprintCup Series Garage and around the track to get a close up view of the 33° banking in all four turns. Next, we’ll have lunch (on your own) before heading to theChick-fil-A®HomeOffice for theirBackstage Tour. Tonight we’ll overnight at the Drury Inn & Suites where we’ll once again gather for their Kickback Supper and Tasty Beverages.OVERNIGHT:Atlanta,GA(B,D)DAY 4: Morning! Today we’ll have a short journey before we arrive the most charming city in the South – Savannah! The evening is yours to enjoy with free time and dinner (on your own). Return to the hotel whenever you want – because we’re staying in Savannah’s HistoricDistrict!OVERNIGHT:Savannah,GA(B)

DAY 5: This morning following our chores – just kidding – following breakfast at our hotel it’s time to discover Savannah, the Host City of the South. Of course we allowed time for a little more shopping, then it’s lunch. Hope you’re ready for some Southern home-style comfort food for lunch because we’re headed to Paula Deen’s, The Lady & Sons Restaurant which is located in a renovated 200-year-old building in the heart of Savannah’s Historic District. Following lunch we’ll enjoy a City Tour of Savannah with a Local Guide. We’ll experience the history ofGeorgia’sfirstcityandhearthestoriesofSavannah’sresidentsfrom1733topresentday.AsightseeingRiverboatCruiseontheSavannah River is next on our agenda. We’ll have dinner (on our own) before returning to our hotel for the night. OVERNIGHT: Savannah,GA(B,L)DAY 6: Good morning! Spring is in the air, so let’s go enjoy it! This morning we’re headin’ to Charleston! Charleston, South Carolina! We’ll arrive right in time for lunch (on your own) before we head to Boone Hall Plantation. In 1743, the son of Major John Boone planted live oak trees, arranging them in two evenly spaced rows. This spectacular approach to his home symbolizes Southern heritage and will take root in your memory for many years to come. It is a “must see stop” on any tour to Charleston! While at Boone Hall we’ll take in their House Tour, Slave Street and History Presentation, and Garden Tour. Following our plantation visit we’ll head to Patriot’s Point where we’ll embark on a Harbor Dinner Cruise. We will delight in the views of the Charleston Harbor from the decks of the Spirit of Carolina. We’ll also savor a delicious dinner with entertainment. OVERNIGHT: Charleston, SC (B, D)DAY 7: This morning you’re in for a treat! We’re headed to the Big Red Barn - home to the horses that will take us on a Carriage Ride in Charleston. During our one-hour, fully narrated tour through the streets of this historic city, our guide will recount the vibrant tale of the city’s exquisite history. Next, we’ll enjoy free-time for lunch (on your own) and shopping in the Historic District ofCharlestonbeforewedepart.OVERNIGHT:Asheville,NC(B)DAY 8: Welcome to North Carolina, y’all! This morning we’re headed to the Biltmore Estate, built in the 1880’s with 250 rooms by George Vanderbilt as his “Little Mountain Escape”. We will tourthemagnificent,privately-ownedmansionandthentaketimeto explore the gardens and gift shop at our leisure. We’ll enjoy lunch(onourown)atAntlerHillVillage.AcasualandrelaxingwaytoextendtheBiltmoreexperience,AntlerHillVillage&Wineryconnects the estate’s past and present with dining, shopping, exhibits, world-class food and wine. Next we start our journey home. We’ll stop near Nashville for an included dinner at Cock of the Walk to celebrate our fun tour to the South! OVERNIGHT: Clarksville, TN (B, D)DAY 9: Today is a travel day home. We’ll share great memories as we travel towards home. We’ll all be chattering about our “favorite” part of this wonderful itinerary, Goin’ South to Savannah & Charleston! (B)
