For reading, I am reading at: 11 1/2 years

My writing stage is: 3 i

In my literacy learning...One thing I have improved at in my reading is: summarising because I can identify the main ideas better.

One goal I have for reading is: making more connections so I understand it more.

One thing I have improved at in my writing is: using paragraphs with one main idea.

One goal I have for writing is: to do better in my spelling and adding detail to my paragraphs.

I am especially proud of... I’ve moved up into the Comprehenders group.


MathematicsMY PROGRESS IN MATHEMATICS IS EVIDENT IN...

I am especially proud of... Moving up a group because I challenged myself and did well.

My numeracy stage is: 6

In my numeracy learning...In numeracy, I have been working on: identifying decimals, converting fractions to decimals, and finding fractions of fractions.

One thing I have improved at in my numeracy is: understanding decimals and fractions and my basic facts.

One goal I have for numeracy is: add, subtract and multiply fractions and decimals.


InquiryMY PROGRESS IN INQUIRY IS EVIDENT IN...

I am especially proud of... Doing well with my advertisement for Asia Down Under.

In my inquiry learning...I have been working on: “I’ve Got the Power” - I am working on solar power and have been making a solar oven.

One thing I have improved at in Inquiry is: Researching - finding better website and doing keyword searches better.

One goal I have for inquiry is: Find ways to be more energy efficient - not use so much power.


As a WK Kid Learner...One thing I think I have improved at as a Whakarongo Kid is:

Working with other people - working with different people and saying more when working in groups.

One goal I have for being a better Whakarongo Kid is:

Be more confident; not be afraid to lead.

I am especially proud of... Working well with other people.
