W hen you’re young no one seems to take notice in the

things you do or say, which makes it hard for talents such as Robyn to get out there and be noticed.

From the age of 12, Robyn has been creating and broad-casting the music loves to any-one who was willing to give her music a chance and just listen to her sound. As well as keeping up with her school work of course.

Robyn tells rawWR that she

owes her sudden popular-ity to the people who actually don’t like her sound. She says,

“ People see images of me and like see the introductions of my videos where I basically just kind of give the title of the song and then like roughly say what it’s about, so they’re like oh she’s small, cute and bubbly this must be a catchy pop song and then they actually watch the rest of the video for the song and they’re just like whoa she’s not a pop artist at all. Then they leave me comments asking me whats up, calling me a hypocrite and I’m just like hey dude, or whatever the circumstance, I may be petite but I know how to rock it loud.”

She later adds how her style in clothing has always been a tar-get for stereotypes. However, the singer ensures her fans that just because she likes wearing fancy dresses and ‘girly’ make-up that that will never influence her mu-

sic. So we asked about who and what has influenced her in the past, through fashion and music.

“I’ve always liked Hayley Wil-

liams’ style” - leader singer of Para-more - “she’s awesome musically as well and now that I’m a little bit older I have my own style, I still look up to Hayley by means of her musical tal-ent and her style choices, but mine’s better [laughs] as I’ve made it my own. Fashion is an excellent way to explore being your own person.”

Robyn , just 14 years old, is the person behind the new wave of pop-punk sound that ’s taking over the minds of tweens everywhere. Crit-ics say she will just become another form of the ‘Bieber Fever’ - erghh! - but rawWR think other wise. So we caught up with Robyn to hear what ’s hot and what ’s not.
