I will miss everyone as I have now been with you for the last 17 years as Principal and in Education for 36 years. My decision to retire is based on family – my husband has been retired for 8 years. I am so privileged to have been given the opportunity to commence Glenmore Park Public School in 1997 and to have had so many wonderful students commence their education and go on to do exciting things in their life. When I first arrived my philosophy was to create a school dedicated to putting children’s learning first, above all else. I am proud to say that this has continued to be a priority due to the support from parents and the dedication of the teachers and staff. Above all I am proud of the students, their many achievements and commitment to their learning. As I sign reports, at this time of the year, I am always amazed at the fantastic results and effort each child puts into their learning. When I walk through the playground and visit the classrooms, I see happy, safe students enjoying the best programs we as teachers and parents can provide. I wish to thank sincerely the school community for their trust, their positive support and constructive ideas over the years. Together we have created a school in the Penrith District which is a leading light for others and one that is embracing the educational agenda of the 21 st Century. So now a new beginning for me and a new journey. To all the wonderful families, students and teachers and staff that I have had the opportunity to work with over the last 17 years - Thank you. GET ACTIVE EACH DAY

Fundamental Movement Skills

There is evidence that children with poor fundamental movement skills such as jumping,

skipping, leaping, kicking, throwing and catching are less likely to be active. Give your kids a head

start and teach them these skills.
