GENERAL AGREEMENT ON TARIFFS AND TRADE 10 March 1959 Tariff Negotiations Committee TARIFE NEGOTIATIONS WITH BRAZIL Proces-Verbal containing a Schedule to be annexed to the Protocol Relating to Negotiations for the Establishment of New Schedule III - Brazil (Brazil - Benelux) There is attached hereto the text of a Proces-Verbal containing the schedule of Brazil which is to be annexed to the Protocol Relating to Negotiations for the Establishment of New Schedule III - Brazil, in accordance with paragraph 8 of that Protocol. As indicated in circulating the bilateral lists of concessions (Spec(59)29) on 3 March 1959, the Proces- Verbal was opened for signature by the parties concerned on 10 March 1959. The contents of the bilateral lists of concessions were released to the public by the governments concerned on 7 March 1959. The printed editions of the Proces-Verbal will be distributed in the same manner as those of the Protocol itself. MGT(59)25

Proces-Verbal containing a Schedule to be annexed to the Protocol Relating to Negotiations for the Establishment

of New Schedule III - Brazil

There is attached hereto the text of a Proces-Verbal containing the schedule of Brazil which is to be annexed to the Protocol Relating to Negotiations for the Establishment of New Schedule III - Brazil, in accordance with paragraph 8 of that Protocol. As indicated in circulating the bilateral lists of concessions (Spec(59)29) on 3 March 1959, the Proces-Verbal was opened for signature by the parties concerned on 10 March 1959. The contents of the bilateral lists of concessions were released to the public by the governments concerned on 7 March 1959.

The printed editions of the Proces-Verbal will be distributed in the same manner as those of the Protocol itself.

On trouvera oi-Joint le texte d'un procès-verbal relatif à la Liste du Brésil qui doit être annexée au Protocole concernant les négociations en vue de l'établissement de la nouvelle Liste III - Brésil, conformément au para­graphe 8 dudit Protocole. Ainsi qu'il a été indiqué lors de la diffusion des listes bilatérales de concessions (Spec(59)29) le 3 mars 1959, le Procès-verbal a été ouvert le 10 mars 1959 à la signature des parties en cause. La teneur des listes bilatérales de concessions avait été rendue publique par les gouvernements intéressés le 7 mars 1959.

Les éditions imprimées du Prccès-verbal seront diffusées de la même manière que le Protocole lui-même.

TO THE GENERAL AGREEMENT ON TARIFFS AND TRADE

(Brazil and Benelux)

The Government of the United S ta tes of Brazil and the Governments of the

Kingdom of Belgium, the Grand-Duchy of Luxemburg, and the Kingdom of the

Netherlands, having completed, a f ter the opening for signature on 31 Deoember

1958 of the Protocol Relat ing to Negotiations for the Establishment of New

Schedule I I I - Brazi l - to the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade, the

negotiations provided for in the Decision of the CONTRACTING PARTIES

of 16 November 1956,

AGREE tha t the annexed schedule of concessions r e l a t ing to Brazil sha l l be

incorporated in Schedule I I I - Braz i l , contained in Annex A to the afore­

mentioned Protocol in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 8 of tha t

Protocol.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF the respective representa t ives , duly authorized, have

signed the present Proces-Verbal.

DONE at Geneva on t h i s tenth day of March one thousand nine hundred and

fifty-nine.

Le gouvernement des Etats-Unis du Brésil et las gouvernements du Royaume

de Belgique, du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg et du Royaume des Pays-Bas,

ayant terminé, après l'ouverture à la signature le 31 décembre 1958 du

Protocole concernant les négociations en vue de l'établissement de la

nouvelle Liste III - Brésil - annexée à l'Accord général sur les tarifs

douaniers et le commerce, les négociations prévues par la Décision des

PARTIES CONTRACTANTES en date du 16 novembre 1956,

SONT CONVENUS DE CE QUI SUIT: La liste de concessions ci-annexée

concernant le Brésil sera incorporée à la Liste III - Brésil, reprise à

l'annexe A du Protocole susmentionné, conformément aux disprsiti^ns du

paragraphe 8) iudit Protocole.

EN FOI DE QU©I les représentants respectifs desdits gouvernements,

dûment autorisés, ont signé le présent Procès-verbal,
