BY-LAWS AMENDMENT FORM

ARTICLE: IV Members

SECTION: 1. Classification of Members

PAGE: 2

CURRENTLY READS:

D. Life Member- Effective with renewals for 2018, any active member after completing 15 consecutive years of membership shall be deemed a Life Member, and their dues will be $20.00 for the first member and $5.00 for a spouse or significant other, and all other requirements of membership still being in effect. Life membership attained before 2017 shall pay no dues.

BYLAWS Jerry Clement

PREZ SEZRob Weimer

I am sponsoring a By-Laws change to reverse the dues for Life Members back to $0 for members that stay with our club for 15 consecutive years. The change will be mailed out to the membership for review this month and we plan to vote at the April general meeting.

I’m looking forward to the Malibu run hosted by Jack Walter, hoping for a clear beautiful day. Many of us went out for pizza last Thursday and we truly enjoyed the beer, pizza, and company.

I would like to encourage all members to take advantage of spending time with us at the general meeting and the after party at Shakey’s Pizza Parlor.

3

Our club’s activities provide you the opportunity to maintain or make new friendships, so please make the effort to attend our activities, I believe you’ll truly enjoy yourself. Keep in mind that these events are hosted by your fellow members who have taken their own time and money to put it together. Many runs are pre-run by the host, sometimes more than once. Your attendance reinforces and acknowledges your appreciation of the host's efforts. Jennifer deserves our appreciation for all of her effort maintaining our activities calendar and also setting up our monthly Activities dinner night out. Not only that, but she also hosts some great activities. If you have an idea for a run, it is pretty easy to put together. Mostly all you need is the route, a place to eat, restroom breaks, and maybe a nice destination to visit.

Thanks, Rob

MONDAY MORNING DRIVER’S CLUB - MALIBU

13

Jack Walter led the Monday Drivers Club on a ride called “Exploring the Green Santa Monica Mountains.” There were eight cars on this run. The number would have been larger but there were predictions of

showers and news reports from the previous week showed large boulders falling on roads in the area. As it turned out, there was no rain or boulders and in Jack’s words, “The hills looked like we were touring the ‘Emerald Isle’ in our Corvettes.” The only down-side was viewing the destruction of homes and trees caused by the November 2018 Woolsey Fire. At the Paramount Ranch western film set, the church was the only surviving building.

Jack, thanks for another fun and well planned adventure on a winter day. With all of the recent heavy rains, road closures and repairs, you were able to find an enjoyable run. I know it was no accident because you made a scouting exercise on the previous Saturday. Also, Bob, thanks for all of the videos that you make for our runs. You are the only one that can do it.
