The “Sound Vision Leisure” is the main trade fair of the audiovisual market in Cyprus, which took place this year from 7th to 10th October in Nicosia.

For the fourth year, Fte maximal has taken part inthis event through its exclusive distributor in Cy-prus, MS Electronics, LTD (www.mstronics.com). MS Electronics, LTD showed the most recentlydeveloped products to both the professional installer and the end user.

In the Professional section, the new Digital Trans-modulators (TKF 310 and TKQ 310), that converts the signals coming from Satellite or Terrestrial for their distribution in a 100% digital format, were shown. Also, other interesting products for the installers were the prestigious Multiswitches “Made in Germany” noted for their high quality and reliability, as well as the new amplifiers with Aluminum housing, the ZM Series.

In the End User’s section, the main item of interest was the new DVB-T receivers: the Univers U5500 and U6500. As mentioned in the previous issue ofFte News, these DVB-T receivers are MPEG-4 SD and HD. In Cypriot market such a product is a must, as their broadcast signals are only MPEG-4.

In this way, once again, our distributor MS Electro-nics, LTD worked hard promoting their latest innova-tions, and year after year continues to pionner to meet the needs of their different markets.

Last 14th October it was held in Stockholm the annual se-minar organized by CANT association.

CANT is composed by the key actors on the Swedish TV installations market and also organizes an annual seminar where present-day issues are discussed.

This year, some of the topics have been: The development of the new DVB-T2 transmissions, the establishment of fiber and coax networks, the reorganization of the UHF band spectrum or the Swedish viewers preferences.

During the seminar, attendants could approach to the Fte maximal stand set together with our Swedish distributor AKM Nordic, AB. from which we are developing the mar-ket together since last twelve years.

In this occasion, the new mediaMAX MINI S2CT, field meter, GENIUS 5 (programmable head amplifier, HCA ZM line amplifier series and the whole range of stand alo-ne and cascade Multiswitches (SEM, OLS, DK series) awoke most of the interests.

The talks of our Fte maximal staff to the end installers were constructive with an overall positive feedback. From our side, we will keep on maintaining the positive introduction of Fte maximal in Sweden.

CANT SeminarStockholm

The CAI (Confederation of AerialIndustries) is the recognized body for the aerial and satellite industry for the UK and Republic of Ireland. The CAI is committed to raising Stan-dards within the industry and ensu-ring high quality installations are ca-rried out by each of its members. Professional installers in the UK and Ireland become members of the CAI to guarantee their customers quality will be obtained from a qualified ins-taller who uses CAI benchmarked

materials. CAI benchmarking lays down minimum standards for the te-chnical performance of products ba-sed on the specific technical para-meters for satisfactory broadcast reception. CAI manufacturers and distributors ensure quality products are supplied to installing companies through the certification of bench-marked quality.

After the presence of Fte Maximalat the “CAI Trade Fair 2010” in

June, as ex-hibitors, the c o m p a n y has gone one step further to approach the UK market, by becoming members of the CAI. As it was mentioned in last issue of Fte News, Fte maximal is ai-ming to continually increase its pre-sence in the UK. We feel becoming members of the UK’s trade associa-tion will be a big advantage to reach this objective.

Fte maximal’s range of cascadea-ble multiswitches “Made in Ger-many” has been expanded with

the incorporation of KAD and OLYseries into the former DK series.

These ranges of multiswitches are used for making cascade installations with a great number of connected users. They allow distribution of 8 or 16 polarities (of 2 or 4 different satellites) plus the TV terrestrial signal to all the users.

Depending on the model, the signal can be distributed from 4 to 32 recei-

vers per floor, making an independent option to receive, in each receiver, the4 polarities of each satellite.

The headend cascadeable multiswitch incorporates a power supply that feeds the LNC’s. The DK series (16 pola-rities) and KAD series (8 polarities) even create the 22 KHz tone in order to use, optionally, the LNC’s type QUAD.

While the TAPs in satellite band are ac-tive and fed from each user’s receivers, the terrestrial band is active or passive according to the series:

- For OLY series the terrestrial band is passive.

- KAD series has an active terres-trial band.

- DK series has active/passive te-rrestrial band which is configurable through a microswitch.

For big installations, this range has line amplifiers for the main line in order to compensate losses that are produced through the coaxial cable and the rest of elements in the installation.

As an addition to the valuable family 115, Fte maximal launches its latest innovation for terrestrial digital televi-sion. It is the HD version.

Like its younger brothers, this receiver appears in a 220mm box casing with a black color front panel, and it incor-

porates USB connectivity with PVR ready, functionality, which allows the facility to record through an external hard disk.

Also, through USB connector it is possible to play image (.jpg, .bmp),audio (.mp3, .ogg) and video (.mpg,

.avi, .mkv, .mp4) files.

It has HDMI digital output in order to get a perfect image and sound quality and it is totally compatible with broad-casting requirements in AC 3 (DD y DD+).

The new field strength meter mediaMAX MINI S2CT is the most complete measure-ment device of this family. It has been desig-ned in order to respond to those installers who need to make DVB-C measurements (QAM modulation).
