Fredericton's International Airport (YFC) is conveniently located only minutes (14 km/9mi) from downtown Fredericton offers daily direct flights with Air Canada between Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal and Halifax. WestJet offers daily service

between Toronto and Fredericton(3 flights per day). A growing airport, the Fredericton International Airport continues to expand and develop with significant improvements to the terminal building, parking lots, international arrivals, and runways. Being a small airport, this means your clients will not have long walks to gates and there is easy curbside pick-up and drop off. Free WIFI, café on site. In 2016, YFC announced plans for a Terminal expansion which include a second security line, a larger area

in departures, improved food service, a children’s play area, improved washrooms, and a shorter distance passengers will need to walk outside to board planes.

This world class gallery is one of several gifts to the people of New Brunswick in the City of Fredericton by the late Max Aitken (Lord Beaverbrook).The permanent collection was established in 1959 by Lord Beaverbrook with his generous donation of British and Canadian works of art. As the provincial art gallery of New Brunswick, the Beaverbrook Art Gallery presents a rotating schedule of contemporary and historical exhibitions that give focus to the art and visual culture of New Brunswick and the Atlantic region, as well as of Canada, Britain, and other regions of the globe, as reflective of the particular nature and strengths of the permanent collection.

The Gallery’s permanent collection includes approximately 5,000 works. Some of Atlantic Canada’s finest artists are represented within it, including Molly Lamb Bobak, Mary Pratt, Alex Colville, Tom Forestall and Yvon Gallant. Other notable holdings include international artworks by Thomas Gainsborough, John Constable, Lucian Freud, the only oil painting of his work on public display in Canada, J.M.W. Turner, Joshua Reynolds, Graham Sutherland and Salvador Dalí's masterpiece Santiago El Grande. The Gallery also hosts temporary and touring exhibitions from across Canada and around the world. Please note that only a small selection of works can be displayed at any given time, and that 75 of the Gallery’s Masterworks are currently on tour through 2017. Historic Garrison District , National Historic Site Location: the 2-block area on Queen Street between Regent and York Streets Set behind a wrought iron and stone fence, Fredericton’s Historic Garrison District recalls the drama and glory of our military past. Originally established as a British Military Garrison in 1784, the Historic Garrison District is now a National Historic Site and a very important part of Fredericton’s downtown landscape. The Soldiers’ Barracks is where over 200 British soldiers lived in the 1800’s. The original Guard House (built in 1828), Soldiers’ Barracks and Officers’ Quarters buildings are open for tours and have interpretive exhibits. Officers’ Square, once a British parade square and recreation area for soldiers and officers is now a venue for festivals, concerts, theatre, and a parade square for the City Guard. Changing of the Guard Ceremony - Officers’ Square in July and August

A colourful ceremony with bagpipes and drums and a parade of the City Guard dressed in bright red tunics of the New Brunswick Regiment. Daily at 11 am and 4pm, with additional ceremonies at 7pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays. Guards are also posted in front of the Fredericton Museum and City Hall, which change hourly. The Guard wear scarlet tunics, blue trousers and white pith helmets, which is the dress uniform representative of the 1883 Infantry School Corps (ISC), considered to be the birth of the Canadian Military.

Outdoor Summer Theatre: Daily in Officers’ Square. The Calithumpians Theatre troupe presents humorous and historical fare, with a repertoire of alternating shows, a popular lunch time activity for locals. Weekdays at 12:30 and weekends at 2 pm Free Outdoor Concerts- Join the local community and tap your toes to fine New Brunswick talent during free hour long concerts on Tuesdays & Thursdays, Saturdays at 7:30pm in Officers’ Square. The Fredericton Region Museum 571 Queen Street, Officers’ Square The museum originally served as the quarters for the British Officers stationed in Fredericton after the American Revolution. Today it is place to discover the history and diverse heritage of central New Brunswick as a meeting place for Aboriginals, Loyalists, Acadian, and other European settlers. There is 4,000 ft2 of exhibit space and a collection of over 30,000 artefacts. Inside the Chambers is a series of 27 hand-woven colorful tapestries depicting the history of Fredericton. A tour guide will explain how the tapestries were made and the story each piece is displaying. Government House, National Historic Site Location: 51 Woodstock Road Government House, the restored 19th century stone mansion that serves as the residence of the Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick, welcomes guests into the mansion’s public spaces. Magnificently restored, Government House is furnished with elegant and historically appropriate New Brunswick and British antiques, many original to the house. Upstairs an art gallery features New Brunswick artists and the interpretation centre tells the story of the building, the city and province’s past. The cornerstone was laid in 1853. The Cathedral was erected through the efforts of Bishop John Medley, the first bishop of Fredericton whose cenotaph is at the east end of the Cathedral. The Cathedral presents a Music at the Cathedral Summer Recital Series at noon hour on Fridays in summer. Free will offering. Location: 716 Queen Street The seat of government in New Brunswick since 1882 and a Provincial Historic Site. See the City from the Water aboard the Wolastoq Tour Boat & Charter A scenic cruise on the majestic St. John River is a relaxing way to see the city. The 47 (plus 2 crew) passenger tour boat is docked at Regent Street Wharf, on the St. John River in downtown Fredericton. The 63 ft boat is available for charter and offers several regularly scheduled boat tours daily. The tour boat is licensed, and offers catering options and will provide live commentary throughout the tour. Tours are 90 -minutes long and charters available on an hourly basis with a 2-hour minimum. Explore the majestic Saint John River Enjoy the hidden treasures of Fredericton's river systems The Saint John and Nashwaak rivers offer a unique ecology in both history and biology and are home to some incredible birds, fish and mammals. Mactaquac Provincial Park Just 30 minutes north west of Fredericton is a beautiful area called Mactaquac Country, situated on both sides of the Mactaquac headpond on the St. John River. With great swimming beaches and stunning fall colours, Mactaquac Provincial Park is New Brunswick’s largest recreation park at 525 hectares (1,200 acres) of open land and forest. Overlooking the magnificent headpond above the Mactaquac Dam on the Saint John River, the Park features 300 campground sites, a variety of camping services, campers’ store, minigolf, and a recreation centre with games, organized activities and special events. Mactaquac is popular for both water-based and landbased activities. It is home to an 18- hole championship golf course set in the spectacular rolling hills of the St. John River Valley. The park features a

wonderful network of nature trails and free picnic sites. With two supervised beaches, power and sailboat marinas, swimming and boating are popular activities. Great Canadian Beaver Pond Voyage at Mactaquac Provincial Park An interpretive guided walk puts you in a beautiful, pristine nature reserve featuring the Park’s remarkable chain of beaver ponds. See the architectural marvels that are beaver dams and lodges, while the air is filled with dragonfly pirouettes and songs of red-winged blackbirds.
