MORTIMER SHIELD On Wednesday our 5/6 students competed in the Mortimer Shield in Wagga. In wet and windy conditions the players
took on South Wagga. It was a very tight contest that was decided late in the second half after some swift running from a
South Wagga outside back, who swooped on a loose pass to score a length-of-the-field try. However the after a close
loss, the boys bounced back with a win in their second game against Lutheran, after a sensational try and conversion
from Ethan Gilchrist. The third game highlighted the talent and skill across the whole team with some big tackles,
brilliant running and commendable teamwork. The final result was 3 tries to nil with Hunter Lee inspiring his troops.
I would like to thank all parents who assisted on the day. Without your help, days such as these are not possible.
