SAFETY RESPECT ACHIEVEMENT

GREAT GALAXIES MONDAY Week 3 - $5.00 per student if not covered by FRANKLINCOVER

The show begins with Jared building a three dimensional, moving model of our solar system (approximately one thousand millionth of the real size). First he produces a one and a half metre round sun. Around this bright colourful sphere students are given to hold the eight major planets, the recently demoted Pluto, over sixty

moons and the asteroid belt. There are solar flares, exploding volcanoes and earth launched space probes that demonstrate how when taking a trip to another planet you don't head towards it but to where it will be in its

orbit when you get there. Part comedy routine, part science lecture, this fast paced commentary with plenty of laughs and audience

involvement, is full of fascinating facts about our earth and the solar system in which it orbits.

DUE BACK TO SCHOOL

TUESDAY 28 APRIL 2015

TUMUT GALA NETBALL DAY Franklin Public school had a very successful day. We

played 5 games and while there were a few close games,

we ended up undefeated and came in first place for the day. This means that Franklin will go through to the next

round (possibly in Wagga early this term).

All girls played brilliantly and demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship. Grace King was a standout shooter and

Leith Turner in defence.

Special thank you to Jess Beer for umpiring for us on the

day and to the parents who drove and stayed to offer support.
