Temple Talk

Hello Everyone! January went by fast this year, an-

other month already! The children have been so awesome

when we do Temple Talk. I am very proud of them and you

can be too. I hope they do share stories and their song with

you!

Our lessons this month will be ; Noah’s Ark, The

Transfiguration, Warm Heart Cold Heart and Abraham and Sa-

rah’s Visitor. Our song will be ”Jesus Loves the Little Chil-

dren”and our Bible verse will come form Proverbs 15:30 “ A

cheerful look brings joy to your heart.”

I also want you to mark your calendars for April

15th . The children are invited to sing for the St. Peter con-

gregation at the 10:30 church service. More info to follow.

Blessings

Mrs. Wagner

ST. PETER

February 14 is Valentine’s Day. Ever since December 26,

stores have been filled with pink and red decorations, cards with

hearts on the front, boxes of chocolates, and risqué or silly night-

wear. Yet we know that love—which February 14 professes to

promote—is not all hearts and roses and candy. Love can be hard

work. Just think of the last time your pre-schooler threw a temper

tantrum at the store. Of course, you still loved the little tyke, but

in that moment, it was probably hard not to throw a little temper

tantrum of your own!

Love can be hard work. Healthy marriages and healthy

families can be hard work. Yet there are those moments when we

know that all the work is worth it. When your child is sleeping like

an angel, when your spouse or partner says exactly the right

thing, when your friend keeps your secrets, then you know how

precious love is. And you rejoice that love is part of your life.

Yet remember that the love we feel for one another—for partner,

for children, for friend, for family—is but a shadowy reflection of

the pure, unconditional love God has for each of us. Revel in you

beloved-ness and know that God, your God, love you this day and

for all the days of your life.

February Songs and Poems

If You’re Happy and You Know It

If you’re happy and you know it clap your hands.

If you’re happy and you know it clap your hands.

If you’re happy and you know it, then your face will really

show it,

If you’re happy and you know it clap your hands.

(Repeat with stomp your feet, shout Amen)

Make New Friends

Make new friends but keep the old,

One is silver and the other’s gold.

A circle’s round it has no end,

That’s how long I want to be your friend!

Groundhog Day

(Tune: Where is Thumpkin)

Where is groundhog, where is groundhog?

Here I am, here I am!

Shadows on this sunny day

Frighten groundhogs away

Winter will stay, winter will stay!

Where is groundhog, where is groundhog?

Here I am, here I am!

My, oh my—a cloudy day.

I will stay out to play,

Spring is near, spring is near!

Count On Me Valentine

Let’s count Valentines

One, two, three

Let’s count Valentines

All for me!

Let’s count Valentines

Four, five, six

Let’s count Valentines

Match and mix.

Let’s count Valentines

Seven, eight, nine

Let’s count Valentines

I’m glad you’re mine!

My Valentine Heart

When I say I love you

(point to lips)

It comes from the heart.

(point to heart)

You hear it in your ear

(point to ear)

And it sounds very smart.

(point to head)

I love it when you’re proud of me

(stand very tall)

You say it all day long.

(stretch arms wide)

And when I hear you say it

(point to ear)

My heart sings a merry song!

(hands on heart)
