Summary

A very interesting early season maiden for three year old fillies. There are several candidates for outright glory. (3) BURNING VICTORY could be the one at a very decent price. She shaped very encouragingly on her debut at Deauville in December over a shorter distance and this extra yardage is ideal. (1) LUCKY LYCRA and (4) ORGLANDES are dangerous as well as (12) TORONADA.

This is a hot looking three year old only handicap and there might be several future winners to come from it in the future. This is a smashing race and there is a fascinating contender in the shape of (2) TEL AVIV who has won his only start and that came over this course and distance last time out in November. Being a son of the high class stallion, Nathanial, he can only improve and especially over further. (1) VERONESI will be favourite and will be hard to defeat. (3) SCARLET TUFTY and (6) CARTES can follow the principals home.

Christophe Soumillon is an eye catching booking for (4) CAPTAIN'S GIRL and she is given the vote. The four year old filly won a claimer at Deauville in January and has since come third at Chantilly in a handicap. She can overhaul the likely pacesetter (1) BELLCANTO who might be taken on for lead though and that might scupper his winning chance. (8) SECRET LADY and (7) WOOLDIX need looking at too.

6. GLORIOUS LIFE - Sanctioned on debut before making amends at Bordeaux next time and with Nivard at the helm on this occasion should again figure prominently

7. GIGA LOVE - Very disappointing to date. Sanctioned when unsupported on comeback and can be ruled out

8. GIRLY DE PIENCOURT - Has placed just once in five starts to date and while obviously improving will still need to find more

9. GOULETTE STEED - Modest individual that has yet to show any aptitude for the game and can be passed over

14. GIPSA - Acquitted herself well in both starts to date. Takes a step up in category but still looks a serious player

15. GALINKA JIEL - Pleased on debut before flopping at Vincennes next time. Unraced since November and will need the outing

16. GIPSY DU POMMEREUX - Delicate sort but has references going clockwise. Debuts at the venue and if applied can get a look in

Summary

After qualifying well the nicely bred (1) GRANDIOSA takes to the track for her first public appearance and if as good as believed can make her debut a winning one. She will however be pitted against the promising (14) GIPSA who has yet to set a foot out of line. (3) GARANCE DE LA FYE was full of running when sanctioned on debut last month and deserves to be given a second chance. The well-regarded (13) GABY should not be hastily judged for her recent sanction and the presence of Eric Raffin is a reassuring factor. (6) GLORIOUS LIFE is another progressive type and with application will not go home empty-handed.

6. FEEDBACK MAGIK - Modest individual making debut in the specialty. Is first time barefoot but still a rank outsider

7. FIRST GOLD - Temperamental type that has been sanctioned in both starts in the discipline. Entrusted to Lamy this time but still not an obvious choice

Summary

Impressive at Vincennes mid-January (10) FISTON ANVALOU lost his action next time. He is proven under these conditions however and with application can finally get off the mark. Very good going right handed (14) FALKO DE TINAL takes a small dip in category and he too is capable of getting that maiden monkey off his back. Adept in this branch of the game (12) FLEURON DE JAFA

left a good impression at Pont Chateau recently and can make the frame this time. The delicate (9) FIDZI ROSE is 25m better off and if applied can put on a good show.

4. FLEKKEFJORD - Regularly in the thick of things when she can stay in stride but no chance after 11 months away

5. FERIA DU METZ - Has ability but yet to lose her maiden tag. Out of competition since October and unlikely to spring any surprises

6. FONCELLE - Useful sort that always gives her best but has not been seen out since August and can be passed over

7. FIESTA DE LOCQ - Good class of filly that won her only start here. Sanctioned on reentry but if focused can play a prominent role

8. FIESTA DE FROULAY - Good consistent type making her maiden start right handed. Is first time barefoot and if she turns should give another competitive account

9. FIZZ SAINT-GERMAIN - Not without merit but ended last season on a high note and has picked up where she left off

Barring the occasional blip (8) FIESTA DE FROULAY is a model of consistency and losing her maiden status is not beyond the realm of possibility. (11) FIDENZA will appreciate returning to a right-handed track and can get back in the game. (7) FIESTA DE LOCQ is another quality filly and deserves to be taken seriously. 6. EXTREME FARCEUR - Delicate but has won two of the three races he has finished and can play a role if Ollitrault can keep him in stride

7. ELDORADO EMERAUDE - Ended last season on a low note and has picked up where he left off. Is confirmed under the saddle here though and should not be entirely written off

8. ETERNITY ROCQ - Has ability but very complicated. Raffin has maintained faith but still not an obvious choice

9. ELITO DRY - Erratic but would have won in Paris two weeks ago had he not lost his action. With focus can make amends

Although not always the most focused (15) EMILY DE MONTFORT nonetheless gave a fine account in Paris last time out. She is confirmed under these conditions and after a short breather looks good enough to win this. That said Raffin will want to keep a watchful eye on the in-form and recently unlucky (10) ELLORA DU CEDRE who has shown good aptitude racing clockwise. 12. ECLIPSE LOCO - Fair fifth last time out. Remains barefoot and could earn some minor money

13. EVRESTO - Disappointing last run but is capable of better and does have a winning chance

14. EPHEBE - Ignore last run. Will do better back in a Mounted race. Be right there

15. ELIXIR D'OVAKI - Well beaten in both starts this year but is capable of better. Go close

16. ENABLE DREAM - Has been struggling for some time now and does need to find a few lengths to win

(13) EVRESTO was very unlucky last time out and can make amends for that and take out a competitive looking race. (15) ELIXIR D'OVAKI looked good when winning in December and can bounce back to form if in the mood. (11) ECKMUHL JACK is not barefoot this time but is in good form and is clearly not out of it. (14) EPHEBE also has a winning chance.

2. GAVALO WILD - Did not show much on debut. Could improve returning from a break. Might place

3. GRANIT DAIRPET - Fair fifth on debut. More needed to win but could play a minor role this time

4. GANYMEDE DE DUSSAC - Good recent debut over this course and distance. Big chance in this line-up

5. GRIZZLI DE LOUCAS - Modest first two starts. Does need to do more to win but might earn minor money

6. GRAAL DE CASTELLE - Fair debut. Disappointed last time out and could need this come back run

7. GEORGIO DU GITE - Has experience. fair form to date and could finish in the money once again

8. GEGE DU HOULME - Modest form this year and does need to find a few lengths to win this race

9. GONNA FLY - Promising debut. Did not show it last time out but should fight out the finish

Summary

(4) GANYMEDE DE DUSSAC nice promise when fourth on debut. That form has held up nicely and he will prove hard to beat in this small field. (9) GONNA FLY is clearly capable of better than his last run would suggest and ran nicely before that. (7) GEORGIO DU GITE may need to do more to win but could finish in the money. (1) GIBRALTAR could be a danger on debut.
