Instead, we ask every family to make a commitment of support and effort, so that your child has a positive experience. Parent will bring their children to check-in week, and pick them up from the designated classroom week. For the safety of your child, please honor this request. It’s time for Choir Club 2019-2020! It’s our hope that Choir Club will be an important part of your child’s activities during the 2019-2020 school year! We strive to give your child a faith-based music education that not only involves them in the life of the church as active participants in worship, but equips them for life-long discipleship. As the music staff of FUMC, we feel it is more than playing the instrument or singing the song. Choir Club is growing in the faith with music as the tool. Each and every child is important to us. Choir Club is for children age 3 (by July 31, 2019) through Grade 6. Wednesday afternoon activities include choir time, instrumental instruction, Bible, worship arts activities, creative movement, sign language, musical drama, puppets, drumming, sacred dance, ukulele, worship service participation and special seasonal service participation. Music reading skills and music fundamentals are taught through the instrumental time in Choir Club. Our elementary instrumental track includes drumming, boomwhackers, Orff, handbells and ukuleles. Worship Arts for grades K-6 will feature a variety of activities throughout the year. The Preschool Choir Club curriculum incorporates move- ment, signing, Bible and instruments, in addition to Choir time. The success of Choir Club is dependent on our wonderful volunteers who teach, travel with and nurture our young singers. Please prayerfully consider what your contribution of time and talent will be.
