Our project will be creating a user manual/tutorial on how to insert a header, footer, and/or page number into a document on Microsoft Word on a Mac

computer.

Statement of Objectives (Meeting Notes)

● Introduction○ Introducing what header and footer directions are○ What the purpose of a header and footer are ○ Why do you want a header and footer

■ For easy reading ○ What kind of header and footer should you use for your document?○ What kind of header and footer should you use for whom (

■ teacher● you would make the header very descriptive

■ instructional documents● index, page numbers● header is not as descriptive like it would be for a teacher.

● Process Description○ Process will be an outline of what we’re going to be describing in the instructions○ statement of what you will be learning in this tutorial, what you will accomplish○ e.g. “In this tutorial you will learn how to use microsoft word header and footer

built in function”.○ Can be short but be specific

● Materials○ You need a computer that is functional○ Word processor software that is activated

● Directions○ Take screenshots of what you are clicking ○ Write thorough steps○ Steps to edit H/F○ Highlight words

○ Draw arrows on the screenshots○ Perhaps add a video/screencast of the process.

● Troubleshooting○ The Usability Testing will provide feedback from test-group. We will need to

revised the directions to include this feedback.○ Test cases finding an audience to test out the directions ○ Finding someone that has no idea how to use header and footer○ Creating a survey asking users how clear our directions were (5 questions or so)
