The percentage of area under sugarcane in different districts varies from 20-72%. There are more than 40 Sugar Mills in this area which canbenefit from the studies conducted by FARMER
FARMER was established in 2002 by the like minded scientists and persons having aptitude of social service,
Agriculture Extension and Research with focus on sugarcane crop and productions
Firstly started in three divisions of Meerut, Moradabad, Saharanpur, comprising of 11 districts of western UP. Sugarcane is a major crop of this region sown on an area of 10.96 lakh hectares out of total cropped area of 24.5 lakh hectares.
FARMER has a goal tobecome self sustainableby providing at costresearch services toSugar Industries andRegistered Farmers withthe FARMER
