Parents, please carefully read the information packet you will re-ceive at registration. It is your responsibility to know and under-stand the rules of the program. For more information about dance attire, attend the Dance Parent Meeting (see below).

Instructors reserve the right to place a dancer in a different class if it is more appropriate. If you are unsure about the right class for your dancer, attend the Dance Parent Meeting on Thursday, Sep-tember 13 or contact Susan Matthews at [email protected] or (630) 837-2468 ext. 132 for more information.

Bike Path and Trails Maintenance PolicyMother Nature will be allowed to take her own course of action with re-spect to our park district bike paths and trails, located at Community Park, Ahlstrand Park, Harbor Park East-West, Nautilus Park and Ranger Park. In Illinois there is no legal duty to clear paths or trails. But if an agency vol-untarily takes on the job, liability may be imposed if it is not done properly.

The Park District Risk Management Agency (PDRMA) recommends that we limit path maintenance to a thorough season-ending inspection and docu-mentation of irregularities, that we fi x any hazards and that we post signs conveying the message that users of the paths and trails do so at their own risk.

Northwest Special Recreation AssociationThe Hanover Park Park District is a member of a cooperative agreement among 17 park districts which forms the Northwest Special Recreation Association (NWSRA). The NWSRA team of full-time Therapeutic Recreation professionals and trained part-time staff offer safe, fun and high quality year-round recre-ation opportunities to individuals with disabilities of all ages and ability levels. For more information on NWSRA, brochures may be picked up at the park dis-trict main offi ce or at the NWSRA offi ce at Park Central, 3000 W. Central Road in Rolling Meadows. NWSRA may be contacted at (847) 392-2848 (voice) 392-2855 (TTY) or 392-2870 (fax). Check us out on the web at nwsra.org.

Thank you to the Village of Hanover Park, Lions Club, and Hanover Park Park FoundationThe staff and commissioners of the Hanover Park Park District take this op-portunity to sincerely thank the Village of Hanover Park and the Hanover Park Lions Club for their generous fi nancial donations that make participa-tion in recreation programs possible for the children of families experiencing fi nancial hardship. Working together, the Hanover Park Youth Activity Sup-plement Program of the Village of Hanover Park, the Lions Club, and the Ha-nover Park Park Foundation have assisted many families in Hanover Park to provide activities such as karate, dance, soccer, basketball, gymnastics, swim lessons, aquatic facility passes, and summer camp for their children. Since 1998, more than 500 individual scholarships have been awarded totaling more than $50,000.00 Thank you, Lions Club and Village of Hanover Park. Through your dedication, cooperation, and generosity you have enriched the lives of many children by giving them the opportunity to participate in our Park District’s programs.
