Setting Up Your Business Page – Profile
Picture
• Should be your Company Logo –you are branding & staying top of mind
• Use a professional looking graphic –sized to 170 x 170 pixels
• It will show as 128 x 128 on smartphones
• Have the name of your business
• Remember – in the NewsFeed/Home this is very small – it should be clear & easy to read

• Use a professional looking graphic –sized to 851 x 315 pixels
• Have your phone number or email or website in the Banner
• This is marketing space – think of it as a billboard for your company
• You can put a slideshow or a video as your Banner
• Change it up for products, services, specials, time of year, etc.
Your Page Looks Great – Now What?
• Consistency is key
• Don’t overdue it – 2-3 posts per week unless you have “daily specials”
• Always use a picture, very short video (under 30 seconds) or a link to an article
• Have a Call to Action – do you want people to register for an event, join your email list, come in and buy something?
• Always be collecting emails – they are “gold” for marketing & conversion
• Use hashtags ( # ) – check what’s trending• Tag other businesses with the ( @ )

• Use 3-4 on Facebook (5-6 on Instagram)
• Twitter is a great resource for trending hashtags

• Staff talking about a product or service

• Engage with other Business’s Posts – people tend to reciprocate
• Like, Comment & Share
• Always answer those who ask questions on your Facebook page
• In public comments
• In direct messages
• Always thank people for commenting and sharing

• Treat any negative comments, and/or reviews as a great PR opportunity
• Respond professionally & appropriately
• Thank them for bringing it to your attention
