IT’S ALL ABOUT THE FABRIC Originally a French word called cambrai in northern France, the Americans modified the word to make it sound the way it does today. A softer version of a linen shirt, it is ideal for hot weather and for those who like a slightly casual look Has weaves that are slightly raised giving a more textured look. Due to its texture, the dobby shirt would be an excellent choice to wear because unlike plain weave shirts they are less wrinkle-prone. Solid colours and quintessentially formal, they're available in a wide range of colours. Soft and comfortable, and often used in more casual shirts. Colors find themselves easily at home here, and it takes sporty patterns especially well. A distinct weave that forms diagonal parallel patterns on the fabric. Oxford cloth, the coarsest shirting, is surprisingly quite soft and comfortable. A more casual fabric, its most natural form is the button-down collar.
