Missionaries of Mary Mediatrix is an apostolic Religious congregation, founded by Mother Rosario Fernandez Pereira together with Fr. Esteban Gonzalez Vigil as its Co-founder. The congregation was started in the year 1942 at Bayona (Spain) in the diocese of Tuy. It was canonically established as a religious congregation in the year 1962 and it was raised to Pontifical status by the decree promulgated on May 8, 1975.As a religious community, we are committed to imitate the example of our Blessed Mother Mary and that of the first Christian communities on order to proclaim the Gospel in our discordant world. We dedicate our lives to help the poor, the aged, the ill, and everyone that need our help. Inspired by the love of God and guided by an active concern for our fellow beings, we render our missionary services in Italy, Spain, Colombia, Venezuela, Malawi, Honduras and India.

Mary Mediatrix Sisters in IndiaIn the year 1975 our first house in India was opened. It was in Manimala, Kerala, South India. In the year 1980 we opened

another house with three Sisters, in a village named Peddapendial in the State of then Andhra Padresh, in the Ecclesiastical unit of then Diocese of Warangal. Today with the blessing of God, our number is grown to 133 Sisters and we have spread to different States in India, having 10 houses in Telangana, 1in Andhra Pradesh 4 in Tamil Nadu, 4 in Kerala and 1 each in Karnataka, and Orissa.

LOCATION: Peddapendiyal is located in the district of Warangal, Andra Pradesh, India. It is 12 km.away from Wrangal city. This mission we the Mediadoras started 27 years ago. Our work is mainly focused in the assistance and education of the poor and the care of old and destitute, irrespective of their religion or cast. Here at Pendiyala we started with a Leprosy hospital and village developmental programs.

Peddapendiyala , is a village with a population of 8000 people. Most of them here are illiterate and landless farmers. In the village and surroundings most of the people are agricultural laborers who depend on availability of works. Most of them are bonded laboures . All this labourers belong to the backward classes like Scheduled cast and Scheduled Tribes. Generally these people do not posses any properties and proper houses; they have small huts to live and shabby clothing. Sickness like HIV AIDS , Tuberculosis are very common among these people. Children and old aged people are suffering a lot because of all these problems. Elderly people are left alone at

home or in the streets and they knock at the doors of others begging for money or food for survival.

. After many years of use now the building is in delectated condition. The roof is leaking, sanitation and electrical things are beyond reparation. Flooring had gone due to bad foundation and doors and windows are damaged because of climatic conditions. Now it is very miserable condition and we are facing problem to accommodate the sisters.

In the community there are 5 sisters to care the elderly people, dispensary, two sisters are working with HIV patients, and the same time sisters are doing the pastoral works. All of them are staying in a small house closed to the home for the aged. Very dangerous condition, at any time can fall down. This house is far beyond reparation.

So we request you to support us economically to re construct a house.

Es la primera casa que tuvimos en la India cuando las primeras hermanas regresaron a la India despuez de una Buena formacion tanto spiritual como professional alla en Espana con nuestras Fundadores. Ahora despues de tantos anoa ya esta muy estropeada y ya no hay reparacion alguna.

Os present si pueden coloborar con una parte del presupuesto.
