Target AgeThe target age for NAM will mainly be between 16 and 25 as this is the usual age of people who go to festivals and attend events with new artists. Most people older than this will listen to older music and younger people will listen to well known popular music.

The main reason though is the festivals side of things as there is going to be a lot of content in the magazine based around festivals and tours which mainly people of this age group will appreciate.

When considering the current content in NAM only a younger person would be able to understand and relate to what is being talked about and described also an older person would not understand the appeal of some of the festivals.

Target GenderThe main gender that I believe the magazine will be aimed at is males. This is due to the lack of female artists currently within the magazine at the moment. Although I aim to include more female artists at a later date I still believe that there will never be as much of a female presence as there is male and thefefore I think the appeal to a female audience will be very limited. I think then it would be better to focus the magazine on men and try to increase this target.

+Audience ProfileThe typical person who would want to read NAM magazine would spend much of their time listening to music as a primary hobby, they will love going to festivals and enjoy music in an involved way. They will be very interested in new music rather than listening to the same things over and over again, in other words the kind of person who needs lots of storage on their iPod.

The typical reader of NAM magazine will dress very casual and wear no apparent brands although the style will be consistent. This magazine will not appeal to people with a busy lifestyle as they will not have enough time to go to festivals and concerts.

As a younger person they will either not have attended university or will be doing a course somehow related to music so that they have an excuse to go to festivals.
