How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation

stages?

Research into the history of Chertsey to find out what interesting facts we could find that we could discuss in the documentary.

Finding the route of the River Thames and an image of the map which I then edited.

Finding the different towns on the Thames and the main landmarks for each of the town.

Research into the BBC to find out their rules and regulations.

Researching different documentaries- textual analysis on Coast from BBC iPlayer.

BBC2’s main audience members.

Internet

Blog what we were doing on each day.

To post our research that we had done for evidence.

Audience feed back to see what our audience members thought of the documentary.

Wordpress

Promote our documentary as it is done as a website, anyone and everyone can see it.

Adobe Premier Elements

To import and edit our documentary to make into a fully edited and flowing documentary.

I also used it to add titles and special effects to the video footage.

PhotoPlus X4

To edit photos of the river to put them into my magazine spread.

I edited the image by adjusting the colour balance, levels, brightness and contrast and cutting out the person that was sitting on the river bank.

PagePlus X4

I used PagePlus to make my magazine two page spread. Page plus allowed me to arrange the page in a way that I wanted to with advance settings which allowed me to change the text and also how I arranged the pictures with a backing behind them.

I also used this to make my own map of the River Thames.
