ETHICS DVD No.1

Information panels help guide trainees through each section of the DVD.

Pop-up information panels (click here) provide additional information, while still allowing trainees to take a broader view of the content.

The SAICA Training Programme Ethics DVD consists of two modules which develop certain competencies around ethical issues.

A rotating menu allows trainees to easily navigate through various options for each module.

Case Studies: trainees are given detailed case studies of complex ethical dilemmas which they could encounter in the workplace.

Further Reading: to enhance their ethical reasoning, trainees are directed towards more reading material available on the web.

Scenarios: ethical dilemmas are also presented in the form of role plays. Trainees are able to fully engage with the content through the immediate feedback tool.

To-Do List: trainees can keep track of their progress and see at a glance how many sections they still need to complete.

Training: this forms the core content of the Ethics DVD and takes students through each section of modules one and two.

Trainees are able to control the pace of their learning.

Trainees are presented with the content in a variety of ways - through videos,

illustrations and text,

cartoons,

and detailed written content.

Trainees are asked to draw on their workplace experience when engaging with the content. Progress panels at the bottom of each page allow them to see how long a section will take.

Some Important Features

The SAICA Training Programme DVD comes with an Assessor’s Guide for Training Officers.

Trainees are able to print out their tasks for assessment purposes, and thus submit evidence of learning.

One DVD is not limited to one user – so all of your trainees can use the same DVD.
