How to improve your Students' Reading Skills at the
B2 and C1 Levels
Jayne Kyte
It is generally easier to develop our students’ productive skills than it is to
develop their receptive skills. However, as teachers we are acutely aware of the
importance of improving our learners’ receptive skills in order for them to
achieve success. In this interactive session, facilitated by Jayne Kyte, ETAS’
own Teacher Development chair, you will take an in-depth look at the reading
tasks for the B2 and C1 levels. You will identify the skills necessary for your
students to achieve higher grades looking at a range of activities with which you
can develop those skills using top-down and bottom-up strategies both inside
and outside the classroom.
