Elly Lee (10A) - Stairs
Proficiency: P+
- At the beginning, I did not really like climbing the mountain, but now I feel
better than before about. Since the activity is challenging, I get to push
myself and I think this really helps me to improve my cardiovascular
endurance and muscular endurance.
- I think I have a really low level of cardiovascular endurance, so I have a hard
time walking up the stairs. I easily get tired, and often get out of breath.
- On the first day of walking up the stairs, it was really hard to walk up the
stairs, so I often stopped and took a rest. However, on the second time, I got
better and went up further. Next time, I would like to push myself more and
go further up. Also, I would try my best to walk up the stairs without stopping,
which would definitely help me to improve my cardiovascular endurance. In
addition, I would have a buddy and would have a talk so that I can check
myself and give/receive feedback. (I would use English starting next time.)
Moreover, I would like to focus on stretching when I come down so that I do
not get cramp and cool down my body.
- I think this really helps to improve the components of physical fitness
because:
o 1. Cardiovascular Endurance: improve the ability of the heart and
lungs, because I walk up the stairs until I really get out of breath.
o 2. Muscular Endurance: muscular endurance includes sustained
walking or running; repeating walking up the stairs would certainly
improve muscular endurance, because you use your muscle
constantly until you get exhausted.
