Wushu is a unique sport which incorporates both grace and power. The Dunman High School Wushu Team aims to imbue students with self-discipline and cultivate team spirit amongst members, albeit imparting new skills in an enjoyable way. Students can improve their stamina, agility, coordination and also build their confidence when practising Wushu.

It has been a fulfilling and eventful year for us in 2018. The DHS Wushu Team has done the school proud in the 14th National Wushu Championships, clinching a gold, four silver and 15 bronze medals in the individual events. The ‘B’ Division Girls stood out amidst strong competition, winning the overall fourth position. We were very excited to have our first batch of ‘A’ Division Girls participate in the competition since our inception.

There were many special moments this year. Our team was invited to perform during school events like the Chinese New Year Celebration, Speech Day, Open House, and the Dunman High Model ASEAN Plus Summit Opening Ceremony, as well as public performances during the Istana Open House. Apart from competitions and performances, we also organised fun and meaningful team bonding activities during the school holidays.

We definitely look forward to another exciting year in 2019!
