Our Objectives:
1. Education, research and training:
i. To promote education, especially girl education.
ii. To conduct educational, environmental and sociological studies.
iii. To promote use of Information & Communication Technology
(ICT) for socio-economic development of the community.
iv. To organize training and refresher programs for the volunteers
and officials of different Non Government Organizations to
strengthen the development skills of trainees through IEC
(information, education and communication) which they can use
in the development sector.
v. To disseminate information and knowledge, to edit, publish, and
print literature and documents, maintain libraries, and to organize
seminars/ conference/ meetings etc.
vi. To promote participation of youth (unemployed as well as
students) in income generation activities.
vii. To establish educational, professional and vocational institutions
like Engineering, Medical, Pharmacy and Agricultural Colleges that
would strengthen the developmental process.
viii. To organize lectures, seminars and workshops to help or
strengthen the character building process.

2. Health:
i. To spread awareness about STD and HIV/AIDS and work for the
welfare of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHAs).
ii. To work in the field of reproductive and child health, Cancer like
Breast, Skin, Blodder, Leprosy, Diabetics, bone Diseases, Heart,
Eye treatment services etc.
iii. To create awareness about communicable and vector-borne
disease control measures through better hygiene and sanitation.
iv. To narrow the difference between the health status of people on
the basis of their religion, region, caste, class and gender.
3. Development:
i. To promote social welfare activities with special emphasis on
women empowerment.
ii. To work for the betterment of weaker sections viz. SC/ST, women,
children, senior citizens, and disabled etc. with a vision of social
justice.
iii. To speed up the process of rural development and strengthen the
agricultural, horticultural and animal husbandry sector.
iv. To eliminate child labour, child trafficking, and child abuse and
focus on the education and resettlement of these deprived
children.

v. To form self-help groups and cooperatives and run income
generation activities by linking them with banks through micro-
credit.
vi. To Establish Old Age homes, Crèches, Orphan Houses, Rural and
Urban Development activities, etc.
vii. To grant aid/or assistance, financial or otherwise, to colleges,
Hospitals, Dispensaries and Aushadhalayas or other institutions or
establishments. Treatment of patients belonging to the poorer
sections of the Society?
viii. To give Scholarship and other help or assistance either financial or
otherwise to poor, needy and deserving students for obtaining
education or allied fields and for going abroad for advanced
studies.
ix. To do all other acts deeds and things as may be necessary and
conductive for the attainment of the said objects.
4. To work for environmental awareness, sustainable development and
participative management of local natural resources for village level
development.
5. To fight against social wrongs like discrimination and harassment based
on gender, caste and class.

(Panchayati Raj Institutions) and increase people’s participation in

Major Activities of the Organization: a. Women Empowerment Programs:
Collectivized women into 70 self-help groups on self-respect, equal opportunities and economic vulnerability
Promoted leadership among the women by various capacity building programs
Organizing the women into pressure groups by net working all the village level self-help groups at district level as Community Based Organizations and facilitating the CBOs towards the emerging social economical and political issues
Organizing seminars, workshops for women for improved alliances to collectivize women on the issues of discrimination, equal opportunities, and human rights.
Organized women into self help groups initiated Micro-finance programs for women
Established finance and technical resource linkages with Self Help Groups
Promoted the concept of mutual help and trust among the stakeholders for collective economic growth of the community members on cooperative principles
Conducted skill development programs for women and established women entrepreneurships for poor and vulnerable women
Identified animal rearing as one of the important income generation program and promoted goat rearing, milking animals and lamb rearing among women
b. Community Health Program:
Implemented Reproductive Child Health program in 16 villages for improved health and nutrition status of women in reproductive age group, and infants and children under 5 years of age
Awareness camps were conducted for improved personal hygiene and environment sanitation
Awareness camps were conducted on water borne diseases and promoted safe drinking water concepts
Traditional Birth Attendants are capacitated on Reproductive Child Health issues and promoted safe delivery practices
Promoted 100% immunization and worked in collaboration with government health service systems
Awareness camps and capacity building programs were conducted on strategies in controlling Infant mortality and maternal mortality
Various medical camps were organized for poor and elder people
Awareness programs on HIV/AIDS has conducted separately for youth, women and men

c. Empowerment of differently abled Persons:
Community Based Rehabilitation programs initiated for differently abled persons
Conducted medical camps for the community members
Working for the livelihoods, education and human rights issues of differently abled persons
Conducted various capacity building activities in leadership, concept of sangha and other development concepts
Promotion of self-confidence and self-reliance through social, medical, vocational, Educational and economical inputs
e. Child rights program:
Conducted awareness programs for general population on the issues of children
Conducted awareness programs for hoteliers, small shop owners on the issues of children
Conducted orientation programs to the police and school teachers on children rights
Identified children in working conditions admitted them in to the bridge schools operated by the education department of Government

School children were trained on environment issues and formed school level environment clubs

NATIONAL FOUNDATION FOR COMMUNAL HARMONY (MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS – GOVT. OF INDIA)
National Foundation for Communal Harmony (NFCH) was set up as an autonomous organization under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, and registered on the 19th February, 1992 with the main objective of providing assistance for the physical and psychological rehabilitation of the child victims of communal, caste, ethnic or terrorist violence, with special reference to their care, education and training besides promoting communal harmony, fraternity and national integration. UGAM CHAND PUSHPLATA MOHANAUT FOUNDATION
