A glorious moment of Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya : With the blessings and the inspiration of Param Pujya Gurudev Shri Ranchoddas ji Maharaj Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust has achieved a remarkable record of 95243 surgeries in the financial year 2010-11. ‘Leadership Development’ workshop: 13th-14th May

Sadguru recognized developing leaders as one of the priorities towards achieving the Vision of Gurudev. A brain storming session of all those who are leading the programs of SSSST was facilitated by Mr. N. Krishnan, Consultant-Market Research, Ad factors Public Relations.

‘Practice Management’ workshop-19th May Practice management course for ophthalmologists and administrators was conducted at SNC to improve the management skills in eye care sector and as well expose them to modern management practices.

Research skills development training program Research skills development has been one of the priorities at Sadguru to ensure evidence based approach in practices. Mr. Shailendra Bisht, Assistant Professor at ICFAI business school conducted training on qualitative data collection.

Opthalive workshop – 23rd-24th May Opthalive workshop was organized by Divisional Ophthalmic Society, Rewa & Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya, Chitrakoot (Under the Aegis of MP State Ophthalmic Society). 172 Delegates from all across the Madhya Pradesh state attended the conference with great enthusiasiam. The workshop was inaugurated by Honorable Chief Guest Prof.K.B Pandey including Dr.Sushil Tripathi, Organizing Secretary, Ophthalive, Dr.Rohini Mishra, Organizing President, OphthaLive, Dr.S.C Batalia, Guest of Honor, Prof.K.B Pandey, Hon. Chief Guest, Dr.Bhartendu Shukla, Guest of Honor, Dr.S.K Garg, Hon. President, MPSOS, Dr.Purendra Bhasin, Hon.Secretary, MPSOS, Dr.Kavita Kumar, Chairman Sci. Committee, MPSOS. All the participants felt that conference was organized with excellent scientific program and they learned a lot from the surgical sessions. It was also realized that such kind of live surgical meets should be organized every year for skill transformation, sharing knowledge and to promote young ophthalmologists from the Madhya Pradesh.

PMOA workshop: April-June

22nd, 23rd & 24th batch of Paramedical Ophthalmic Assistants (PMOAs) underwent 6 days refresher training program during October month. Total 54 participants from Punjab, Jharkhand & Chhatisgarh participated in training programs. The main purpose of the training programs is to orient the Government Para‐medical ophthalmic assistants on skills pertaining to primary eye care delivery and expose them to recent advances in ophthalmology at primary, secondary and tertiary care level.

Foundation Day of ‘Sadguru Vision Center’:

Foundation day of each vision center is celebrated every year to ensure community participation in the program and as well to review program from community perspective. During foundation day a free screening eye camp is organized to benefit poor & needy people in the catchments area of vision center. Inaugration of ICTC: 1st April HIV counselling and testing services were started in India in 1997. There are now more than 4000 Counselling and Testing Centres, mainly located in government hospitals. Under NACP-III, Voluntary Counselling and Testing Centres (VCTC) and facilities providing Prevention of Parent to Child Transmission of HIV/AIDS (PPTCT) services are remodelled as a hub or ‘Integrated Counselling and Testing Centre’ (ICTC) to provide services to all clients under one roof. An ICTC is a place where a person is counselled and tested for HIV, of his own free will or as advised by a medical provider. To fascilitate the community with the prolonging services, such centre was inaugrated by Dr. B. K. Jain, Director & Trustee & Dr. A.B.S. Rajput, Blood Bank Officer in the presence of JKC Staff at Jankikund Chikitsalaya .

Inauguration of Gau Seva Kendra: Under the aegis of the trust, Sadguru Gau Sewa Kendra is providing its service every year to get asylum those cattles and service them till rainy season. The summer months are crucial for the poor villagers when fodder and drinking water becomes scarce as they are monsoon dependent. In order to prevent the cattle from starvation, the cattle from the villages were adopted under the project and returned safely to their owners after rainfall. Maluk Peethadheshwar Shri Rajendra das ji Maharaj has inaugurated Gow Sewa Kendra this year.

Sadguru School of Nursing celebrated World Health Day on 7th April 2011. The theme of the day was ‘Antimicrobial resistance no action today, no cure tomorrow’. International Nurses Day: 12th May

Sadguru School of Nursing celebrated the ‘International Nurses Day’ Lamp-lighting & Oath taking ceremony of 12th batch of GNM on 12th May 2011.Mrs. Manjula Wani, Principal delivered the oath to first year. World No-Tobacco Day: 31st May Sadguru School of Nursing celebrated World No-Tobacco Day on 31st May 2011. To highlight the health risks associated with tobacco use and advocate for effective policies to reduce its consumption. Tobacco use is the number one preventable epidemic that the health community faces. Nursing students presented health education with chart & poster in JKC OPD.

Trust activities- Chitrakoot

New financial Year 2010-11 Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust celebrated Apr’01st, 2011 as New Financial Year. Director Dr.B.K Jain and the key staff members of the Trust were present on the occasion. Dr.B.K Jain shared the previous year’s achievements and set goals for new financial year. New ledgers books were distributed to all the department heads.

Sadguru Premium League – 2011 SPL-III came to an end with final match played between Perfect sporting club Ganga-Jamuna and Ophthalmic Daredevil on 22nd May, 2011 in which the Ophthalmic Daredevil won the league in a thrilling final outsmarting Perfect Sporting Club Ganga-Jamuna by 30 runs. 9 teams had participated in this league.

Yoga Camp for Diabetic patients: 5th June The trust has organized 10 days camp for diabetic patients. The camp was lead by Yoga trainer Mr. Dileep Tiwari who demonstrated different types of Yoga Aasan. 26 patients were benefited from the camp including patients suffering from other chronic diseases like Migraine, back pain and hypertension.

Visit of Orbis team to SSNC A team consisting of Mr. G.V. Rao and Mr. Golden Frankly , orbis India visited to SSNC on 25th to 26 May. The purpose of there is to the procedure followed at SSNC and to evaluate the process of monitoring at SSNC.
