As of 7 March 2016 Dr. Haruyuki Ogino Haruyuki Ogino received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering from the University of Tokyo in 2004 and 2006, respectively. In April 2006, he joined the Radiation Safety Research Center of the Nuclear Technology Research Laboratory in the Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry (CRIEPI) as a Research Scientist. He has been involved in the research program at CRIEPI for low dose radiation risk and its reflection on radiological protection. He received doctor’s degree in engineering from the University of Tokyo in 2012, and the subject of his doctorate thesis was the radiological protection for radioactive surface contamination under normal and emergency situations on the basis of his experience after the Fukushima nuclear accident. He joined ICRP in March 2016 to serve as the ICRP Assistant Scientific Secretary and an Associate Editor for Annals of the ICRP. He has received the Best Poster Award at the 4 th European IRPA Congress in 2014 and the Incentive Award from Japan Health Physics Society in 2015. Dr. Ogino was the Secretary General of Executive Committee of Asian and Oceanic Association for Radiation Protection (2010-2014) and the Secretary of International Affairs Committee (2013-2015) and the Chair of Young Researchers Association (2013-2014) of Japan Health Physics Society. He has been a member of Rules Committee of International Radiation Protection Association since 2012, and a member of International Collaboration Committee of U.S. Health Physics Society since 2015.

Haruyuki Ogino received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering from the University of Tokyo in 2004 and 2006, respectively.
