Concept: For the year book, we want to focus on the idea of the ‘legacy’ we leave behind. As we’re the final year in the first cycle of 3, we think this is the perfect point to evaluate the legacy of high quality and quantity work that this course produces. Target Audience: The BA (Hons) Graphic Design has been running for five years and has established itself nationwide after winning 2 consecutive pencil awards at D&AD. Its target is existing students, future students, working professionals, designers of all creative fields and potential employers. Design Solution: We have produced a minimal long lasting design, printed on metallic gold paper. Throughout the book, quotes from individuals are overprinted in gold over their headshots, hiding their face. The quotes are concerned with the legacy they as individuals leave behind, this communicates the significance of legacy over individual appearance.

Brief:
Pitch for the BA (Hons) Graphic Design course yearbook at Leeds College of Art 2011.
Concept:
For the year book, we want to focus on the idea of the ‘legacy’ we leave behind. As we’re the final year in the first cycle of 3, we think this is the perfect point to evaluate the legacy of high quality and quantity work that this course produces.
Target Audience:

Design Direction
Each individual’s double page spread has a large shot of the array of work they have produced, i.e. the legacy they leave behind, with another shot focusing on details of their favourite brief.
