Design parameters: Solenoid (527-1024-ND): Operating voltage: 12V, Power: 6W Minimum drain current to operate the solenoid is MOSFET (AON1620 or FDN 327N) (n-channel): Specifications for MOSFET-AON1620: Drain to source voltage: 12V Average drain current 4A at Specifications for FDN 327N: Diode: This diode is used as fly back diode which is used to eliminate the sudden peak in the inductive loads. 1N4001 is preferred for this purpose. Resistance: This resistance is used to control the gate current flows through the MOSFET. 80 to 1000 Ω is preferred for this purpose.
