Dear church -
How wonderful it is to know the Savior! I trust your faith has been strength-
ened as you have engaged in opportunities to experience Christ over these past
few weeks. We are coming off of a time of great activity centered around tell-
ing the story of God’s love and sacrifice. The ARISE! production was a great
success with many new participants and attendees. We have demonstrated
Christ’s love through hosting Family Promise, serving with Revive Ohio in
Delphos, and providing meals and support to families who have lost loved
ones. We have joined together with other congregations in the area for special
services during Lent to demonstrate our fellowship with others in the Body of
Christ.
My encouragement to
you is to keep this
momentum going.
Spring is upon us and
summer is fast ap-
proaching. The busy-
ness of weekend trips,
sporting events, and
vacation can distract
us from spending
time with God pri-
vately and from con-
necting with other
Christians. Incorporate Christ into these events. Use the family get-togethers
and cook-outs as an opportunity to share things for which each person is thank-
ful. Invite neighbors over for dinner or coffee to discuss a passage of scripture
or life in general, then pray for one another. Seek a few minutes of quiet time
early in the day to focus your heart on Jesus through prayer and readings. Ask
God to guide you by His Holy Spirit through your day.
Next month we will be welcoming an entire class of confirmands into the
church. In preparation for that, during worship over the next several weeks we
will be studying together what Jesus left us with in the church. What a bless-
ing that we do not have to try to figure out this Christian life on our own!
What a blessing that we are not alone! God have given us the family of faith
to support, encourage, correct, and love us a visual expression of Himself. My
hope is that this study will help you continue to live out your faith everyday
and be an encouragement to you—even if you have been a member of Trinity
for a very long time.
Your brother -
Pastor Rich

Converge 2018 is here! It will be held Friday, April 6
th –Saturday, April 7
th..
Converge is the largest teen conference in northwest Ohio. It was started in 2013 out of the desire to see our community unite for the cause of Christ. This vision continues under the banner, "One Body, with One Mission, serving One God." During Con-verge, students experience the powerful ministry of our keynote speakers, worship from nationally known bands, in depth teaching from over 20 workshop leaders, and join in service to the Lima community. The local service project is called Operation: Love Lima. Hundreds of stu-dents and volunteers were spread through-out Lima last year to distribute food boxes, pray with individuals and families, and share the love of Christ. Our goal for 2018 is to distribute 60,000 pounds of food and proclaim the Gospel to even more people than last year. Delphos Trinity has been a part of this from the beginning and has contributed $1,000 per year to the food giveaway as well as participating in the event. Go to convergemovement.com to find out more. Delphos Trinity UMC will be going as a youth group this year. Anyone can register themselves online, but they will not receive the discount. Student price is $50 for the two-day event through the group. For more information about carpooling or transportation, please contact Pastor Rich at 419-236-4692 or [email protected].

[Thank you to the family for al-lowing Malcolm to play baby Jesus in the ARISE program!]
April Mission Feature
The Mission Feature for April is the “Heifer Pro-ject International.” The purpose of this project is to help families lift themselves from hunger and poverty. They use multiple approaches within their model to reach that goal.
They are best known for the dairy cows and dairy goats supplied to families around the world, but in many cases, other animals are better suited to the culture and environment.
Heifer supplies a rainbow of plants and animals, from snails to guinea pigs to trees to yaks. In the Andean plateau of Bolivia, Alpacas and Llamas make the most sense. These animals sup-ply meat, wool, manure, and transportation and are well adapted to thrive in the high elevations.
Beekeeping is a great fit in the ecologically fragile region of Poland and other places around the world where traditional livestock could harm the soil.
Since their first shipment of dairy cows to Puerto Rico more than 60 years ago, they have de-veloped multiple ways to combat hunger and poverty while caring for the earth. But some things have not changed, like the practice of passing on the gift.
From the beginning, Heifer project partners have been required to pass on their gift of animals’ offspring or the equivalent in training and other resources to others in need. Through this practice, the gift of one animal becomes the gift of many, and a chain of giving set into mo-tion that can improve the lives of entire communities.
The families involved with Heifer projects also return self-esteem and self-sufficiency to indi-viduals and communities they live in “helping those help themselves.”
Please consider a donation to this month’s Feature in your giving envelopes and make sure to mark it Heifer Project.
-Thanks for caring and sharing, Missions Committee

Eventually anger, guilt, resentment, fear, social withdrawal and depression may surface in the weeks, months and even years later.
Come join us- - - along with the lesson, you will enjoy the fellowship and of course, the refresh-ments- - -guaranteed! Hope to see you on the 11th! -The UMW

THANK YOU Thanks to Pastor Rich for the time he spent with us at the hospi-tal before dad passed. His presence and words of comfort eased our pain. Pastor Rick Lamb and Pastor Rich have our sincere thanks for the beautiful funeral service for dad. Their kind words about dad helped to bring us comfort. We know dad is with the Lord and all of his pain is gone, even though we will miss him for-ever. -The Truman Family A very big thank you to all who helped in any way providing for the funeral dinner of Hubert Truman, whether it was food donations, serving the meal or clean up. A special thank you to Kay Ahten and Sally Kiggins who oversaw the dinner. Your generosity at our time of need was very much appreciated. -The Truman Kids, Sandy, Nancy, Pam, Carol & Bill The family of Joan Culp would like to thank Pastor Rich for the beautiful service and everyone for their thoughts and prayers. We would also like to thank Kay Ahten and Carol Higbea and all those that helped with the funeral dinner and brought in food donations. It was all greatly appreci-ated. -Thank you, The Family of Joan Culp The following thank you was written on the chalkboard in one of the Sunday School classrooms from a family that Trinity hosted as part of our partnership with Family Promise the week of March 11-18, 2018: To Delphos Church …. My family and I would like to thank you all for welcoming us to stay and eat at your church. This past year hasn’t been the best for my family and I. Your wonderful grace kept us focused and we can finally get some peace of mind. With being a single parent, your blessing gives me more reasons not to give up. Even though it can get unpredictable, you wonderful people give me a fighting chance to get back up and try again … Thanks! Sincerely, Acoryon, Sharuon, Savanna, and Cory

“A Letter from Heaven”
Dear Friend,
How are you? I just had to send you a note to tell you how much I
love you and about you. I saw you yesterday as you were talking
with your friends. I waited all day, hoping that you would want to
talk with me also. As the evening drew near, I gave you a beautiful
sunset to close your day and cool breeze to rest you; and I waited, but
you never came. Oh, yes, it hurt but I still love you because I am
your friend. I saw you fall asleep last night and longed to touch your
brow, so I spilled moonlight upon your pillow and face. Again, I
waited, wanting to rush down so we could talk. I have so many gifts I
want to give you! Then you wakened late and rushed off to work.
My tears were in the rain. Today you looked so sad—so all alone. It
makes my heart ache because I understand. My friends let me down
too, but I love you. Oh, if you would only listen to me. I love you! I
try to tell you in the blue sky and the quiet green grass. I whisper it in
the leaves on the trees and breathe it in the color of the flowers. I
shout it to you in the mountain streams and give the birds love songs
to sing to you. I clothe you with warm sunshine and perfume the air
with nature’s scents. My love for you is deeper than the oceans,
higher than the mountains, and greater than your biggest want or
need. Oh, if you only knew how much I long to walk and talk with
you! We could spend eternity together now and in Heaven. I know
how hard it is on earth. Yes, I really know! I want so much to help
you. I want you to meet my Father. He wants to help you too. My
Father and I are alike and we both love you and want to help you.
Remember to just call me—ask me—talk with me! Oh, please don’t
forget me! I have so much to share with you. I will not bother you
any further now. You are free to choose me. It is your decision. I
have already chosen you and because of this, I will wait, because I
love you.
Here is a keepsake that was shared with me and I wanted to pass it on to others. Cut it out and post it on your
refrigerator or stick it in your Bible. It is a wonderful reminder of God’s amazing grace:

The toddlers, preschool and pre-k had fun pretending
they were spy’s and crawling under the lasers!
Greetings and Happy Spring!
We can’t believe how fast the school year is flying by! Before we know it graduation and summer will be upon us. The students are continuing to grow and flourish. We have had many fun and exciting experi-ences with more on the way.
The Pre School and Pre-K classes are almost through their alphabet curriculums. We are pleased with their progress. Our students in the Pre-K class have already had their Kindergarten screenings and tested well. We are very proud of their hard work this year.
We want to thank all the families who donated items and volunteered for the many activities and holiday parties this year. The students really en-joy those special days.
We are pleased to have enrollment full for next fall. We are continuing to grow and with that growth, we are enriching more lives of children in this community.
We are still in need of replacement supplies (glue sticks and markers) to finish out the year. We are in need of new, slightly used swings for the infant room as well.
As always, thank you for all the kind words and support this year.
Sincerely, Tender Times Staff

Dear Church Family -
We all see the importance of taking pictures of our children and grandchildren every year. Seldom do we ap-
preciate the fact that others desire to know who we are. Yet, it is important to everyone in the church family to
know who each other is—to put faces with names. As much as you desire to know those in the church family,
they desire to know you! Since it has been some time since we have had a new church directory, we felt it was
time to reconnect with one another in this unique way. I encourage every one of you to sign up today for a
time that fits your schedule—it is absolutely free to you! We will have the option to sign up on-line or Sunday
morning during Café Time.
Some of the benefits to the church family are that it: preserves memories in a tangible form, a mobile directory
is included in the program, and there is no cost to the church.
Some of the benefits to each individual or family are: a professional photography session free of charge, mod-
ern, on-trend photography; a complimentary 8x10 photograph with the opportunity to purchase additional
products; discounts for seniors and military personnel; and a complimentary printed and mobile directory for
each participant.
Our goal is 100% participation because the church family is not complete without you! Also, we want you to
be able to have access to the directory. Since directories are provided by Lifetouch for free, the church only
receives printed directories for the number of families who participate. If you don’t participate, there will not
be a pictorial directory available to you. Through this process we will also be updating our contact informa-
tion for each individual and family.
Yours in Christ -
Pastor Rich

Thank you
It is by the graciousness of others, we are able to reach out to
families that have lost a loved one. When providing a funeral
dinner, tables need to be set up, food donated, prepared and
served and of course the clean up to put everything back in or-
der. Thank you to all who provided this help at the funeral din-
ner for Mike Gallmeier.
-Robin Stewart and Pam Vincent Co-Chairpersons
Thank you
To those who helped in any way in providing for the funeral din-
ner of Joan Culp, whether it be food donations, preparing, serving the meal, or clean up, we
thank you. It is always a blessing to have such a wonderful and caring church family that will
answer the call when needed to help a family through a difficult time.
-Kay Ahten and Carol Higbea, Co-chairpersons
Many Thanks
Many thanks to the ladies who donated food and were so giving of their time to help prepare
and serve the funeral dinner for the family of James Frankhouser. It is always a blessing when
