Dep: 19:40 Arr: 20:45 (this is earlier than the letter states so) Back at school at approximately 22:15.

Timings

Wednesday 4th Dec - Meet at Langtree for 4am we will depart ASAP but no later than 4.15am. Please ensure that the coach can get down the drive to load.

Friday 6th Dec - Please be ready to collect from Langtree at 22:15 again please allow space for the coach.

Wednesday 4th December● Arrive in Berlin and met by guide● Visit the Kolhoff tower which at 25 storeys high provides a panoramic view of

Berlin.● Visit the Topography of Terror - on the site where the Gestapo and SS

headquarters were based this is a museum and a memorial looking at Hitler and the Nazis rule from 1933-1945.

● Visit the Reichstag and climb up the dome and to the terrace.● Check into Hotel

Thursday 5th● Visit to Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp● Visit to the Jewish Museum● Possible visit to the Christmas markets - we will need to use public transport

to reach them

Friday 6th● Possibly a visit to the Jewish memorial and Christmas markets which we will

access by underground - they will need a little bit of extra money for this - the single journey is €1.70.

● Visit to the GDR museum● Visit to the Wall Museum at Checkpoint Charlie● Head back to the Airport.

Food...Mixed reviews but we are optimistic.

Spending moneyStudents will need some spending money for U-Bahn tickets - around €6 max.

Students may want some money for breakfast in the airport on Wednesday and some dinner in the airport on Friday - both airports are well equipped with a range of restaurants.

We will also visit the Christmas markets so some spending money for these would be good - they sell everything and anything - there are lots of biscuit and sweet stalls which usually attract our students!

I would recommend £10 (for Heathrow) and between €50-75 spending money for the next three days. Coins are always handy It might be worth looking into a pre-paid currency card if you are worried about cash on students! https://www.moneysupermarket.com/prepaid-cards/other-currency/
