A New House for the Piggies!!
Wow, we have a cozy new
house to sleep in!
Thanks to God mother, Gillie, our wonderful
sponsor for helping to
fund it!
Some sad news from DaktariSadly Jessica, our beautiful
Serval was killed by a Honey
Badger during the night. She
was a much loved member of
the Daktari family and will
be missed.
Also in May, Niña the Bush Baby became unwell.
The vet diagnosed that
she had suffered a stroke.
Unfortunately nothing could be done and Niña is now resting in peace in the
Bushbaby heaven.

Street Party Bush Style!
We had our first Bush Street Party on
Saturday 4th June. We invited residents and
volunteers from all the nearby reserves and partied til midnight. Our volunteers raised R3500 for Daktari by selling drinks & hot
dogs!A brilliant night was
had by everyone, and we made money!
A Big Thank You to Brigitte Bardot
Wow! The Brigitte Bardot Foundation has donated €6200 to build our new
Mongoose Camp. I hear they do wonderful work for other animals all
over the world. We really should thank them! We can go to their website with
this link……

Lots of love to our B.B.
I’ve been talking to Ian & Michele and they told me that lots of people make smaller
donations as well as the large ones. They told me they are very
grateful for all donations, and although not all of them can be mentioned in the Newsletters,
they are very much appreciated. Every little helps, and we’re
always happy to get more food and treats!
Psssst….. I’ve just been told that a book has been made by Nicola Coady, an ex volunteer,
about the adventures and experiences of volunteers at
Daktari. Every copy sold raises money for Daktari, so don’t delay…
grab your copy today!Click on the image of me to see
and buy the book…..
Some of our animals still need sponsors. Can you help?
Shiloweni is still looking
for more sponsors to help keep up his big
appetite for R200 a month.
Caline would really
appreciate
someone to
sponsor her and her little
girl Halloween for R300
each a month.
Our little cutie
Weasel is
looking for a kind
donor to
sponsor him
for just R200 a month!
Eeyore lives
among us in the camp as
he is blind. He
needs R300 a month for his
food and shelter.
