CALL TO WORSHIP:

(inspired by Isaiah 40:28-31)

Have you not known?

Our God is the everlasting God, Creator of the ends of the

earth.

Have you not heard?

God does not faint or grow weary.

Have you not known?

God’s understanding is unsearchable.

Have you not heard?

God gives power to the faint and strengthens the powerless.

Have you not known?

Those who wait for God will renew their strength

they shall mount up with wings like eagles.

We come to hear.

We come to know.

Thanks be to God.

¿No lo has sabido?

Nuestro Dios es el Dios eterno, Creador de los confines de la tierra.

¿No te has enterado?

Dios no se desmaya ni se cansa.

¿No lo has sabido?

El entendimiento de Dios es inescrutable.

¿No te has enterado?

Dios da poder a los débiles y fortalece a los que no tienen fuerzas!.

¿No lo has sabido?

Aquellos que esperan a Dios renovarán su fuerza

remontaran con alas como águilas.

BIBLE READING: Isaiah 40:25-31 “To whom will you compare me?

Or who is my equal?” says the Holy One. 26 Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens:

Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them

by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.

27 Why do you complain, Jacob? Why do you say, Israel, “My way is hidden from the Lord; my cause is disregarded by my God”?

28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God,

the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary,

and his understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the weary

LECTURA BIBLICA: Isaias 40:25-3125

¿A qué, pues, me haréis semejante o me compara-réis? dice el Santo.

26 Levantad en alto vuestros ojos, y mirad quién creó estas cosas; él saca y cuenta su ejército; a todas lla-ma por sus nombres; ninguna faltará; tal es la gran-

deza de su fuerza, y el poder de su dominio.

27 ¿Por qué dices, oh Jacob, y hablas tú, Israel: Mi camino está escondido de Jehová, y de mi Dios pasó

mi juicio?

28 ¿No has sabido, no has oído que el Dios eterno es Jehová, el cual creó los confines de la tierra? No des-fallece, ni se fatiga con cansancio, y su entendimien-

to no hay quien lo alcance.

29 El da esfuerzo al cansado, y multiplica las fuerzas al que no tiene ningunas.

Call to Worship

How beautiful upon the mountains

are the feet of those who bring good news.

Who publish peace, who bring good tidings,

who publish salvation, and proclaim,

“Your God reigns!”

God will judge among many peoples,

And they shall beat their swords into plowshares

and nation shall not lift up sword against nation:

neither shall they learn war any more.

Let us lift up our voices

and praise the God of peace and justice.

Qué hermoso en las montañas

son los pies de aquellos que traen buenas noticias.

Que publican la paz, que traen buenas nuevas,

que publican la salvación, y proclaman,

"¡Tu Dios reina!"

Dios juzgará entre muchos pueblos,

Y transformaran sus espadas en rejas de arados

y la nación no levantará la espada contra nación:

ni aprenderán más la guerra.

Levantemos nuestras voces

y alabar al Dios de la paz y la justicia.

again. 2 Shake off your dust; rise up, sit enthroned, Jeru-salem. Free yourself from the chains on your neck,

Daughter Zion, now a captive. 7.How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those

who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation,

who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!” 8 Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices; together they shout for joy. When the Lord returns to Zion, they

will see it with their own eyes. 9 Burst into songs of joy together, you ruins of Jerusa-lem, for the Lord has comforted his people, he has re-

deemed Jerusalem. 10 The Lord will lay bare his holy arm in the sight of all the nations, and all the ends of the

earth will see the salvation of our God.

11 Depart, depart, go out from there! Touch no unclean thing! Come out from it and be pure,

you who carry the articles of the Lord’s house. 12 But you will not leave in haste or go in flight;

for the Lord will go before you, the God of Israel will be your rear guard.

Sion: !!Tu Dios reina!

8 !!Voz de tus atalayas! Alzarán la voz, juntamente darán voces de júbilo; porque ojo a ojo verán que Jehová vuelve

a traer a Sion.

Lead a life worthy of the calling

to which you are called:

We cannot do this alone,

we dare not try this alone,

so we gather as God's people.

Lead a life worthy of your calling,

a life filled with service and meekness.

We come to build up Christ's Body,

in humility and gentleness,

with patience and love.Lead a life which reflects your calling,

that life of peace grounded in the Spirit.

We rejoice in our oneness in Christ;

we would share the grace offered to us.

Live a life worthy of the calling

to which you have been called.

We gather as God's family

at the Table prepared for us,

waiting to be fed by the Bread of life.

No podemos hacer esto solos,

no nos atrevemos a probar esto solos,

así que nos reunimos como el pueblo de Dios.

una vida llena de servicio y mansedumbre.

Venimos a edificar el Cuerpo de Cristo,

con humildad y dulzura, con paciencia y amor.

Lleva una vida que refleje tu vocación,

esa vida de paz basada en el Espíritu.

Nos regocijamos en nuestra unidad en Cristo;

compartiríamos la gracia que se nos ofrece.

Vivir una vida digna del llamamiento

a la que te han llamado.

mature body of him who is the head, that is,

grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does

its work.

17 So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that

you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the

futility of their thinking.

amor.

Hope still.

Hope where we had ceased to hope.

Hope amid what threatens hope.

Hope with those who feed our hope.

Hope beyond what we had hoped.

Hope that draws us past our limits.

Hope that defies expectations.

Hope that questions what we have known.

Hope that makes a way where there is none.

Hope that takes us past our fear.

Hope that calls us into life.

Hope that holds us beyond death.

Hope that blesses those to come

Esperanza a pesar.

Esperanza sin importar.

La esperanza que sigue.

Esperanza donde habíamos dejado de esperar.

Esperanza en medio de lo que amenaza la esperanza.

Esperanza con aquellos que alimentan nuestra esperanza.

Esperanza más allá de lo que esperábamos.

Esperanza que nos lleva más allá de nuestros límites.

Esperanza que desafía las expectativas.

Esperanza que cuestione lo que hemos sabido.

Esperanza que eso haga un camino donde no hay ninguno.

Esperanza que eso nos lleve más allá de nuestro miedo.

Esperanza que nos llame a la vida.

Esperanza que nos mantiene más allá de la muerte.

Esperanza que bendice a los que vienen

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teach-

ing and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and

to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the

many wonders and signs performed by the apos-

tles. 44 All the believers were together and had

everything in common. 45 They sold property and

possessions to give to anyone who had

need. 46 Every day they continued to meet togeth-

er in the temple courts. They broke bread in their

homes and ate together with glad and sincere

hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of

all the people. And the Lord added to their num-

ber daily those who were being saved.

Afraid of the task. Afraid of caring.
